BROCHURE
Process: For this project
we had to create a
brochure on anything
of our choice. I started
by picking the topic
of a band called Alt-J.
They are my style and I
love everything about
them, so coming up
with words and pictures and a rad looking
brochure was easy. I
sketched out a design
that I immediately liked,
so I took it straight to
InDesign and made it
happen. Now that I am
fairly comfortable with
InDesign, I can fulfill my
sketches. Printing was
a pain!! I had no idea
that such tight edges
would be so difficult to
print perfect alignment.
Objectives: align a
two-sided folding design, trim a full-bleed
print

Process (Programs,
Tools, Skills): First I
scanned a picture
from an Ensign magazine. Then using the
scanner formatting, I
changed the picture
size and number of
pixels (ppi). Next, I
used Microsoft Word
to create an event
ad. I incorporated
randomness such as
the push pin, sticky
note, and cardboard
background to add
homeless effects.
I used fonts that
looked handwritten
to make the writing
look like it was written
on the cardboard. I
went with a unique
approach in hope to
make people check
it out.
