Preface:
The text book market is already flooded with different management books which are easily
available in education market, so why did we write/published yet another book on management.
The clear cut answer is that there is a huge difference between theoretical and practical approach
of managers. The books available in the market are focusing on contemporary practices lacking
practical approach. During the discussions with managers it has been found that some topics like
strategizing and shaping corporate culture are quite relevant issues which are not much talked
about and requires extensive attention in management courses and they believe that these topics
should be included in college management course.
As we know that environment is dynamic in nature and every day some new ideology is being
created, so it very important to keep abreast with the changing environment and update our
management theory accordingly. We are surprised by the gap which wannabe future managers
are facing. So, this book is crafted to fill the gap, to make students, understand the basic of
management in true sense with practical approach. We offer this relevant piece of work which is
logically designed keeping in mind the bilingual reader. The content is concise, simple and clear
in its writing style, rich in real world examples and it remains focused on the role of managers.

This book is customized as per the ease of understanding especially towards the management
undergraduate students. The text of the book follows a basic model to explain the fundamentals
of management and organized as per the syllabus. The individuality of this book is shown in its

About the Author:


Dr. Kshitez Banerjee has more than 10 years experience in education field and throughout this
period he was invited to train and teach various officials from the corporate world. He was a
corporate sales trainer and he successfully conducted various training programs related to
effective sales and its management. He also participated in designing a module for generating
and managing effective sales leads for various big and small scale enterprises. He was associated
with Third eye consultants in providing a full consultation services to the budding entrepreneurs.
He was also a part of the promotion team to promote the marketing initiative campaign jaago
re launched in 2008 with Tata Global Beverages (U.P)
Presently he is associated with Shri Ramswaroop College of Engineering and Management as a
marketing facilitator in the department of management.
