adegreeinspeechlanguagepathology.Jandali,whoemigratedtotheU.S.fromHoms,Syriaattheage
of19,wasagraduatestudentstudyingpoliticalsciencewhenhemetandbecameinvolvedwith
Schieble.WhenSchieblebecamepregnant,herfundamentalistfathervehementlyrefusedtolether

Wozniakhaddesignedalowcostdigital"bluebox"togeneratethenecessarytonestomanipulatethe
telephonenetwork,allowingfreelongdistancecalls.Jobsdecidedthattheycouldmakemoneyselling
it.Theclandestinesalesoftheillegal"blueboxes"wentwell,andperhapsplantedtheseedinJobs's
mindthatelectronicscouldbefunandprofitable.[68]Jobs,ina1994interview,recalledthatittooksix
