VAS Cloud Technical Support Engineer

Job location: Romania


Main Responsibilities:
To offer technical service to both Pre-sales and Post sales business to Partner or Customer on Huawei Application & Software products,
which include SMSC, MMSC, Voice Mail System (VMS), USSD, Mobile Data Services or other Telecom Software Products. You will be
supporting our customers in all technical aspects and improve the relationship to our main Service Provider accounts worldwide.SMS
solution has served 240 carriers of 80 countries and regions worldwide, including Telefonica, France Telecom, China Mobile, Etisalat,
AIS, Indosat, Excelcom, Taiwan Mobile, TIM, Globacom in Nigeria, and MTN. Huawei MMS solution is currently serving110 operators in
70 countries and regions worldwide. In terms of MMS, Huawei is the strategic partner of China Mobile, CAT, Orange, TUNISIE
TELECOM, Etisalat, and so on.Huawei VMS solution has been adopted by Vodacom, Etisalat, MTN, MTS, China Mobile, Telefonica,
O2, and Warid.
1) Pre-sales support

Pre-sales testing support, holding workshops with customer or partner on technical issues.

Bidding support on technical and engineering related part.

Follow up issues that may arise during testing/workshop/bidding activities.


2) Engineering support

Onsite implementation for engineering project.

Supervising project engineering process, including kick-off meeting, hardware and software supervision, acceptance test.

Interface with engineering partner to locate technical problems that may arise during the engineering process.

Onsite implementation.
3) Maintenance support.

Maintenance problem handling.

Responsible for VAS Cloud technical support service to customer or partner independently or jointly with a technical support
team.

Responsible for handling technical cases on ticket system and keep tracking these problems during the whole resolving

process.
4) Training support

Conduct training of survey and design for local subcontractor before they carry out survey

Assist trainer from HQ or the other regions to conduct training for local subcontractor or service partner.

Assist trainer from HQ or the other regions to conduct training for customer.

Requirements:

Knowledge of SMSC, MMSC, VMS or USSD service

Signaling and media networking experience

Deep knowledge about protocols like SIGTRAN, SIP,M3UA,SMPP,RADIUS,MM1, MM7

Knowledge of virtualization technology

Being versed in at least one of the operating systems (Linux, UNIX, Windows 7) and mainstream database (Oracle, Informix,
Sybase, SQL Server)

Proven ability to diagnose and localize issues using logical analysis techniques

Ability to understand the commercial environment whilst focusing on technical issues

Operate successfully in an intense business environment and work across cultural and organizational boundaries

Capability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customers and/or situations and to perform job functions to
standards under pressure of tense/confrontational situations

Ability to provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports

English is mandatory

Strong experience within the telecommunications industry is a must have

Proven ability to interact with diverse customers in a multi-cultural environment

Proven ability to provide legible communication

Diploma degree or above in a relevant technical discipline
