INTRODUCTION
This classification report defines the resistance to fire classification assigned to element Wall made
of double skin metal faced insulating panels "TOP WALL 50", PIR core, 50 mm thick in accordance with
the classes given in EN 13501-2 + A1: 2009.
2.
2.1 GENERAL
The element, Wall made of double skin metal faced insulating panels "TOP WALL 50", PIR core, 50 mm
thick, is defined as a non-loadbearing wall with fire separating function used as either partition or external
wall acc. to EN 14509.
2.2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Wall is made of vertically oriented double skin metal faced insulating panels "TOP WALL 50", 50 mm thick
with symmetrical joints.
Dimensions
panel width
panel thickness
overlap of joints
1000 mm
50 mm
17,1 mm
Panel core
Polyisocyanurate foam with bulk density of 43 kg/m3 (manufacturer: TOPANEL PRODUCTION PANELS
SA, Romania)
Panel covering
- interior steel sheet 0,5 mm thick, grade of metal DX51D+ZN140 (supplier: Galva Turkey) with polyester
coat (05-20) m thick, RAL 9002, profile geometry: wall geometry-classic profile,
- exterior steel sheet 0,5 mm thick, grade of metal DX51D+ZN140 (supplier: Galva Turkey) with
polyester coat (05-20) m thick, RAL 9002, profile geometry: wall geometry-classic profile.
The fire protection sealing tape Intumex L with dimensions (1,8 x 10) mm (manufacturer: Intumex GmbH,
Austria) is used between the panels, in the centre of the panel thickness.
On the both specimen faces, the joints of panels are stitched with steel self-drilling screws
( 4,8 x 22) mm spaced each 200 mm.
More detailed information about product construction is shown in drawings of the test report (see the
clause 3.1 of the report [1]).
2.3 PRODUCT FIXING
Each sandwich panel is fixed to the steel L-profiles by self-drilling steel screws ( 6,3/5,5 x 90) mm placed
50 mm from the panel corners and in the centre of the panel width.
Supports, load-bearing profiles are placed in distance 3000 mm.

1)
Condition:
E 30 / EI 20 / EW 30
- 1)
E 20 / EW 20
Classification is valid for product with vertically or horizontally oriented panels and no
increase in span length above that tested is allowed
Condition A means: Classification is valid for product without change in orientation of panels and there is
allowed to increase the span length up to 12 000 mm provided that panel joints are
stitched the same way as specified in clause 2.2.2 of this report (in accordance with
EN 15254-5).
Condition B means: Classification is valid for product with vertically or horizontally oriented panels and
there is allowed to increase the span length up to 4 000 mm provided that expansion
allowances are increased pro-rata and panel joints are stitched the same way as
specified in clause 2.2.2 of this report (in accordance with EN 14509 and
EN 1364-1).
4.2.2 CLASSIFICATION OF EXTERNAL WALL
The element, Wall made of double skin metal faced insulating panels "TOP WALL 50", PIR core, 50 mm
thick, is classified according to the following combinations of performance parameters and classes
as appropriate.
Fire resistance classification:
Condition:
- 1)
E 15 (io)** / EW 20 (io)
EN 13501-2, paragraph 7.5.3.4 does not define class EI 20 (io) but the product meets criteria
of insulation during 20 minutes
