SJ-20110803091932-002|2011-08-30 (R2.0)
The sizes of doors, corridors, stairs (etc.) of NOC room must be big enough for
handling equipment. In usual cases, the width of door must be more than 1.8m and
the height mustn't be lower than 2.2m. In addition, both door locks and keys must be
available.
l
Warning!
Check if power cable is available in the trough and hole. If so, take care of it in
construction.
Lab Floor
Patterned materials are not adopted for floor and clear, simple and elegant colors are
appropriate for walls and ceiling. As for the coating, flat paint or paint not containing
silicone must be used.
Anti-static raised floor is required to be laid.
Height of raised floor must be 300mm or 330mm. Floor blocks must be laid closely
and firmly with horizontal error per m2 less than 2mm.
When raised floor is not available, the static conductive floor must be laid (the volume
resistance must be 1.0x107~1.0x1010). The static conductive floor or raised floor
must be grounded for static discharge, which can be connected with grounding facility
through a current-limit resistor and connection cable. The current-limit resistance is
1M.
Anti-Static Requirements
Equipment must be grounded well and the lab must be laid with antistatic floor or
semi-conductive floor leather. In addition, copper foils must be used for grounding at

SJ-20110803091932-002|2011-08-30 (R2.0)
several points (Make sure the copper foils are pressed between the cement floor and
semi-conductive floor and is connected with the grounding cable).
l
Dust-Proof Requirements
The density of dust particle whose diameter is larger than 5m must be less than
30000/m3.
non-magnetic inductive,
and
Doors and windows must be sealed. The external windows must be sealed with
double-layer glass and the doors must be sealed with dust-proof sealing strips.
The ideal condition is to seal the lab with a shutter equipped with a dust filter
device.
Work clothes and slippers must be kept clean and changed regularly.
Keep a higher relative humidity within the permissible range in the lab to reduce
static electricity adsorption of dust.
Walls and ceiling of the lab must be painted or pasted with wall paper. It is better
to use lusterless paint.

Note:
Short-term working conditions refer to less than 48 continuous hours and less
than 15 accumulated days per year.
To reach adequate temperature and humidity, air conditioning devices are necessary.
Large-scale lab must be equipped with air conditioners with humidity adjustment
function while small labs need only to be equipped with cabinet or window air
conditioners.
ZXR10 router also dissipates heat itself, in usual cases centralized air conditioner is
not used. For labs already equipped with centralized air conditioners, in fact it is also
necessary to mount separate air conditioners.
It is suggested to perform the following measures:
Atmospheric Pressure
Working: 108000Pa~51000Pa
Storage: 108000Pa~12000Pa
Air Pollution
The product must not be exposed to corrosive gases and smog such as sulfureted
hydrogen, sulfur dioxide, ammonia oxide, oil fluxing agent, smoke, and dust. Smoking

7-8
SJ-20110803091932-002|2011-08-30 (R2.0)
Different types of optical interfaces use different models of optical connectors. The end of
the fiber needs to match corresponding connector.
ZXR10 ZSR provides the following three models of optical interfaces:
l
l
l
SC interface: a fiber with two square interfaces for transmission and reception and
using SC connectors.
LC interface: a fiber with two square interfaces for transmission and reception and
using LC connector, whose size is smaller than that of SC interface.
MT-RJ interface: a fiber with one square interface for transmission and reception and
using MT-RJ connector. There is MT-RJ interface on 8-port POS3 interface card.
ZXR10 ZSR provides swappable GBIC module. It is mainly used on 2-port gigabit
Ethernet interface card, using SC interface. When installing GBIC module, push it into
position horizontally according to idle slot ID on the module and interface card. Force
plugging/unplugging is forbidden.
Two types of fibers are available: single-mode fiber and multi-mode fiber. User can
configure the fiber according to the actual application. Generally, multi-mode fiber is
used in short-distance transmission while single-mode fiber is used in long-distance
transmission.
As for fiber out of the cabinet, make sure to protect the fiber against any damages with
plastic corrugated sleeve. The fiber within the protect sleeve must not be wound up and
the corners must be radian. The labels at two ends of the fiber must be clear. The meaning
of the label must correctly reflect corresponding serial numbers and relationship between
cabinets and between rows.

Note:
Connect pins 4 and 5 of DB9 rather than connect GND cables of M_CD and DB9
connectors of SCSI 68 PLUG.
RJ45 is cable's English code. The corresponding name is parallel network cable.
5m is the finished cable length, which is the straight length from plug of cable at
one end to the plug of cable at the other end.
7-30
SJ-20110803091932-002|2011-08-30 (R2.0)
The paste position is 2cm from the lug. Firstly paste the label on the cable for
less than a half circle and then stick the backs of the two half parts of the flag-type
label. One such label must be pasted on each end of a power cable, as shown
in Figure 7-19.
7-31
SJ-20110803091932-002|2011-08-30 (R2.0)
The flag-type power cable is divided into two areas: L and R. Their specific
meanings are as follows:
t
L: In this area, fill location code of local device. That is, it indicates the
location of local device connected with power cable.
R: In this area, fill location code of remote device. That is, it indicates
the location of remote device connected with power cable. If the other
end is power distribution cabinet, the characters distribution cabinet and
the characteristics of the power cable must be indicated. For example:
Distribution GND.
Note:
The contents on two labels at two ends of a power cable must be opposite to each
other. For example, the contents filled in L area of the label at one end must be
consistent with those filled in R area of the label at the other end.
7-32
SJ-20110803091932-002|2011-08-30 (R2.0)
Both sides of the fiber engineering label are marked with L and R. The specific
meanings are as follows:
When label is pasted on fiber at ZXR10 ZSR side, the row number, column
number and layer of fiber in the cabinet at the side of the connected remote
optical interface device as well as the fiber No. must be filled in R area of
the label. In this case, the row number and column number of ZXR10 ZSR
where the fiber is located must be filled in L area of the label.
When the label is pasted on optical interface device of the office, the contents
in the label must be opposite to those in label at ZXR10 ZSR side.
Both sides of the coaxial cable label are marked with L and R. The specific
meanings are as follows:
When label is stuck to coaxial cable on ZXR10 ZSR side. The R side of
the label must be filled with the actual content of the DDF: row and column
numbers of the DDF, the layer of the cable in the DDF and cable number.
In this case, the row number and column number of ZXR10 ZSR where the
cable is located, the layer of the cable and the cable number must be filled
in L area of the label.
When the label is pasted on DDF of the office, the contents in the label must
be opposite to those in label at ZXR10 ZSR side.
