3.6 million was put in place for Mrs Brown to use
Universal Studios to produce the film and the film
only got the green light to go ahead if they kept
their main USP which was Irish humour, even
though funding was confirmed the script was yet to
be written.

When filming Mrs Browns Boys the series the set is used
usually has a audience, this was different in the film
because they didnt have a audience but they kept the
extra background laughing for added effect, furthermore
when filming the film Ben Kellet the director kept scenes
which are usually deleted and re-done to add a more
personal touch to the film which is another USP for it.

All the same characters were used in the film from the TV series
along with new characters but they still kept the Irish background
and only chose Irish characters.
During the production phase of the film Mrs Browns Boys
DMovie cast were all family related and because they had
previously all worked together on the television series they all
felt comfortable around each other and could act to their best
abilities. Which helps the film create a more natural type of look.

Mrs Browns Production company was BBC FIlms this is the feature film making
part of the British Broadcasting Co-operation. BBC films have produced some of
the most successful British films of recent years; this includes films such as Billy
Elliot. It also co-produces around eight films a year by working with major
international and UK distributors. The head of BBC films is Christine Langan,
she is responsible for the development and production of the company. BBC
films are based at the broadcasting house in London. BBC films produce films
on a fairly small budget which is usually around 2 million to 10 million and
they very rarely produce a film which produces such a gigantic profit.

BBC films Mrs Browns Boys DMovie was a high


profile British film which followed on form the
television series meaning a huge fan base was already
built. It was a idea developed by the main character
Brendan OCarroll back in the early 1990s.

The Films Premiere was held in Dublin the capital


of Ireland to show that the film has stayed true to its
roots and appeal to the main target audience
because it includes a lot of Irish comedy.
Synergy for Mrs Browns Boys DMovie:
A calendar of Brendan OCarrol (the main character) was
released.
A fancy dress costume of the main character Agnes Brown
(Brendan OCaroll) was released along with the film.
Also clothing such as T-shirts and jumpers were released
to boost the films word of mouth advertising.
