2nd Term School Project

Set in Lunenburg, NS, Canada.


This building houses a furniture maker below with residence
above. It creates a bookend to the commerical area to the East
and forms a wall to a new public square, providing views to
the marine industrial area and to the Atlantic beyond.

The centre-hall plan style is split in the middle to form a modern


great room that opens out to the residential area to the east.

Second Term School Project

An architectural commentary on the culture of its time, the Gehry


House was a pivotal design in Gehrys career, demonstrating a
new exploration of materials, forms and exposition of construction.

Brion Cemetery Pavilion pt. I


First Term School Project

In response to Carlos Scarpas Brion Cemetery, this pavilion in


the nearest town creates a departure point, renting bicycles and
serving drinks for those visiting this architectural masterwork

The linear plan brings people in from the road and directs them
towards Brion Cemetery and the Alps beyond. Many details are
interpretations of the Brion Cemeterys.

Halifax Citadel Pavilion

This pavilion was set into the slope of the Citadel city park in
Halifax, NS. A sheltered sitting area taking in the view of Halifax
from the hill and a small sculpture garden form the interiors of
this tunnel, extending from within the earth out to the light.

The lamp was designed and built as an exploration of the concepts of hearth, structure and envelope, as well as as a practical
application of detailed planning for construction.
