RAFAEL LREZ is a Venezuelan guitarist, composer, arranger and sound engineer, with jazz

influences, rock and always open to all contemporary musical trends and cutting-edge.
His work is haunting the Venezuelan scene for several years with excellent results. During this time
he has composed, arranged, produced and recorded music for advertising campaigns, theater,
cinema, live events and even educational activities. Participated leading the AZOTEA GROUP
amalgamating the venezolanity with anglo rock. In LA FOSFORERA GROUP where further his
Venezuelan roots overflow, he has participated in at least twenty albums as a guest musician, not
counting their shares as recording engineer and / or producer.
His musical work has been characterized by an ongoing quest to achieve that the Venezuelan
music, expanding their ability for develop in terms of sound, originality and instrumentation.
RAFAFA, as is known, have tried to capsize, subtle and freely, the soundtrack of his own life,
kneading this, with his Venezuelan roots, to contribute in some way, in the evolution of the
Venezuelan culture.
His musical style has achieved , has also been influenced by the musicians with whom he has
shared as Simoza Gilberto , Luis Perdomo , Willy Diaz , Marco Toro , Gustavo Ovalles , Juan Carlos
de la Cruz , Nelson Crespo, Gonzalo Mic, Durban Laverde, Byron Marn, Javier Cedeo, Gerardo
Chacn, among many others.
RAFAFA still involved in arts, culture and festivals organized by various public and private
institutions , both in Venezuela and abroad , in the "Rasa Fest" in the Netherlands , Festival of Jazz
" Le Sens " in Martinique , activities " La Fte La Musique "in Paris among others.
In this opportunity, he presents a shocking proposal "RAFAFA AND THE FOLKING TRIO" with the
two young Venezuelan musicians but extraordinary:
Jos Antonio Serven, young from Maracay, with incredible talent and a very particular sonority run
the bass on "FOLKING TRIO" and is currently training as a performer in the "UNEARTE" music
university of Caracas.
Makeizo Mendez Jr. was born into a family of musicians. As a child begins his interest in drums and
timbales. It gives the rhythm section the entire Latin flavor with its special meaning. Currently
continues to prepare in Maracay UPEL and play with different salsa bands, Arabic music and jazz
groups.
In this work feels full force of the Power Trio, writing the Jazz with the nuance of a "Merengue
Such" beautiful as a sunset on Mochima, taking a ride with a gentle breeze of Fresh Air with its
Tuned notes in a Latin Carnival Morning, which flirts with "All The things We Are" reminding

RAFAFA currently lives in Maracay, Aragua State, which has been dedicated to building and
