Table 2.1-1 Reboot Information

The traffic on those cards will be interrupted for no more than 1 minute in worst scenario.
The NE will be offline up to 10 minutes in worst scenario after NE rebooting.

Cold reboot whole NE to complete the upgrade. The traffic interruption could be up to 5
minutes in worst scenario. The NE will be offline up to 10 minutes in worst scenario after
NE reboot.

Note
Since the upgrade procedure will change R4.1/R4.1.1 SC card to R4.2.2 SCE card, during this
period the Ethernet traffic which running on RSTP/MSTP/GVRP will be interrupted since you
plug out the SC card. After SCE card has been inserted chassis and R4.2.2 software load
successfully these traffic will be auto recovered.

Note
Please note that during SCE card replacement, after press R to warm reboot NE to load new
R4.2.2 software, following card will be automatically cold rebooted and traffic existed on these
two cards will be interrupted.
