Symptom
This note provides technical background information on the extraction of transaction data from the CO
via the 0CO_OM_CCA_9, 0CO_OM_WBS_6, 0CO_OM_OPA_6, 0CO_OM_ABC_7, 0CO_OM_NWA_2,
0CO_OM_NAE_2 and 0CO_OM_NTW_2 DataSources.
This information provides customers and SAP service employees with more effective solutions and a
better understanding of the problems.
Having a better understanding of the problems reduces the time required to process them.
Other terms
The following commitment line item DataSources are based on the same technology:
0CO_OM_CCA_10, 0CO_OM_WBS_7, 0CO_OM_OPA_7, 0CO_OM_NTW_3,
0CO_OM_NWA_3, 0CO_OM_NAE_3
For information on the availability and delta capability of these DataSources, see note 543386.
Reason and Prerequisites
This is due to some technical background information that was missing.
Solution
1. For information on CO delta extractors, refer to the following area in the BW documentation:
Business Content/Financials/Controlling/Subapplication/InfoSources.
In particular, refer to the link to the "delta extraction" area from the documentation of the
relevant InfoSource.
2. All CO delta-extractors select data from the CO line item table for COEP actual data via the COVP view.
The time stamp (TIMESTMP field) is used in the line items as a criterion for the delta process. To
allow efficient access via this field, you must manually activate index 4 for the COEP table on the
database - as described in the documentation. An inactive index is delivered on the database in the R/3
standard system.
The history of the extraction runs and the time intervals that have already been extracted are
updated in the BWOM2_TIMEST table (BWOM2_V_TIMEST view).
A distinction is made between the following runs via the UPDMODE field:
