This optional lab is time-consuming. Perform this lab only if you have extra time.

You use the dr-ip-customizer program to generate a .csv file. You modify the .csv file and
add the protected site and recovery site IP addresses of your application server, database server, and
Web server.
1. If you have not done so already, use the VMware vSphere Client to log in to your
machines.
a. Select Home > Inventory > VMs and Templates.
b. Expand the SRM Protected Services folder.
c. One at a time, view the Summary tab of your application server, database server, and Web
server.
Record the IP addresses of these servers in the table, under the column named IP
Address at Protected Site.
Under the column named IP Address at Recovery Site, fill each blank with the fourth
octet of the IP address at the protected site. For example, if the database servers IP
address is 172.17.63.105, then the IP address at the recovery site is 10.10.10.105.

4. Change to the SRM bin directory.

srm.csv looks like the screenshot.
This file contains comma-separated values on each line. The first line in the file identifies
the field names. For example, the first value in the second row is the virtual machine ID.
Similarly, the second value is the virtual machine name and the third value is the vCenter
Server name, the fourth value is the adapter ID, and so on.
b. Locate the two lines in this file that refer to your database server. For example, if your
database server is named dbsvr-apple01, then the lines look as shown in the screenshot.
c. Looking at the third field (vCenter Server), identify which vCenter Server system is at the

f. Similarly, modify lines for your application server and Web server.
The screenshot shows an example of what the file should look like after all modifications
are made.
