announced that the Middletown school would close at the end of the school year.

TRENTON The eldest son of Robert and Maria Marshall was blunt when he addressed the state Parole
Board on Wednesday, to argue that his father should remain in prison for the murder of his mother for the rest
of his life.
Please, please leave that selfish monster right
where he is, pleaded Roby Marshall, who had traveled
to New Jersey from Southern California, to addressthe
board. For the second time in six months, Roby and his
brother Chris came to Trenton to implore that the board
not grant parole for their father, who was convicted in
the contract killing of their mother in 1986 Ocean
Countys most notorious murder chronicled in the bestselling book Blind Faith and the TV movie by the
same name.

Tulane student from Tinton Falls killed in murder-suicide

DAN RADEL @DANIELRADELAPP
TINTON FALLS A 25-year old law student from Tinton Falls was shot and killed by her boyfriend in an apparent murder-suicide at Tulane Unversity in New Orleans, according to the university and city officials.
Sara LaMont, who was born in Long Branch, was a
second-year law student, as was her boyfriend, identified as Wajih Mazloum, 28, according to the officials.
The couple make the sixth and seventh Tulane University student deaths this school year.
It is with deep sadness and profound concern that I

write to you, Tulane University President Mike Fitts

addressed the Tulane University student body on Sunday.
Today we learned of the tragic deaths of Sara LaMont and Wajih Mazloum, two of our second-year law
students, in an apparent murder-suicide at an off-campus location.
According to a spokesman from the New Orleans Police Department, officers were called to the location
early Sunday morning in the 5500 block of Willow
Street.
Frank Robertson said at approximately 9:55 a.m., po-

lice responded to a report of a male and female found

unresponsive inside a home. When officers arrived, a
roommate advised that he walked inside of the house
and found them shot.
Robertson said detectives determined that the male
fatally shot his girlfriend and then fatally shot himself.
Detectives found a handgun next to the man.
The city coroner identified the two as Lamont and
Mazloum. Attempts to reach the Lamont family were
not successful. Mazloum worked for city government
