various process piping such as low steam, high steam, medium steam, medium
condensate, utility water, plant air, instrument air, relief vent, cooling water, drinking
water, fuel gas, natural gas, nitrogen gas and caustic soda piping.The project
comprises fabrication and erection of piping, equipment and structural erection, along
with associated works for the new units constituting inter-connecting piping, LPG
naphtha HTV/splitter unit, CCR reformer unit, diesel drying unit, LPG fractionation unit
and HC flare.

Treatment Plant. Our scope of work mainly concerns with the erection of
approximately 25,000 joints of various sizes of piping ranging from carbon steel to
special heat resistant low alloy steels such as P91 and T23 materials.

Description
The Project involves supply, construction and commissioning of
Approximately 24 KM length of carbon steel (CS) pre-insulated Pipeline from tap-of
point at the Plant room of diferent Diameters Including fittings/Concrete Valve
Chambers/Air release, Vent and Drain valve chambers/Testing, Flushing and Chemical
Cleaning of the line. This project was named as pipe distribution network (PDN)
Energy transfer stations (ETS) in which plate heat exchanger (PHE) does main role.
Supply and return pipelines are located inside of building for chilling purpose.
Temperature of supply water and return water is 15.5 degree and 4.4 degree
respectively this is converted by plate heat exchanger (PHE). Automatic control of
temperature and pressure are maintained by programmable logic Controller (PLC).
Piping grade: API5LGRB (for liquid transportation); Pressure for hydrostatic testing
10BAR (150psi)

Checking received materials as per specifications.

Making request for inspection (RFI) to client.

Conducting preinspection as per RFI which have been ofered earlier.

Doing fit up inspection and visual inspection for various piping


diameters.

Ofering ultrasonic testing (UT) for 10% of weld joints.

Inspecting butterfly and ball valves at the time of installation.

Conducting preinspection for hydro test and visual check of flushing


water.

Maintaining QA/QC files, Document Review Record (DRR), MTR, ITP


and Drawings.

My roles are the below following;

Checking of original marking in received items and checking of


dimensions to cut as per plate cutting layout (PCL).

Conducting fit up inspection for circumference seam, longitudinal


seam which is ovality, circumference, orientation, seam to seam
distance, height, root gap, root face, peak in & peak out, thickness and
v-angle.

Ofering inspection for Dye penetration testing (DPT), chip back DPT,
Radiography testing (RT).

Inspecting welding parameters while welding for various diameter of


pipes such as 36, 24, 142 (jet nozzle).
