General Points
The Temic-CAN module has been tested, according to the following specifications:
conformance tests:

ISO CAN conformance standard, 1 draft dated 4. March 1998 test specification,
at Wolfenbttel since January.
All tests have been performed at room temperature (about 22C to 24C).

The CANARY has passed the CAN-ISO tests, Processor Interface tests and Robustness tests.
However it is important to report to Comment 1 concerning the use of CANARY with BRP = 1.

In the Data Sheet (Rev.A - November 6, 2000) of the T89C51CC01 ATMEL CAN
Controller Part it is specified that the use of a BRP=1 leads to a fixed bit timing
configuration. Because of this the device had not been tested with a BRP=1.

4. Generation of Bit Timing Test Atoms
To reduce the test time of the bit timing the following configurations are tested instead of the hole possible setups. This configurations are the most critical timing setups
where errors can occur. In the past we recognized that the errors which occur can be found with this configurations without testing the setups between the minimal and
maximal timing configuration. If we will find an error with this setup, we expand this configuration to isolate the error. If the chip pass this test the normal timing setups
shall be pass too.

Maximal number of Time Quanta per Bit-Time and if possible additional a low BRP. The result of this configuration is the test of the bit timing in a critical state (very short
time quanta). At this configuration the delay time of the real CAN node is considered.
