Day1:

Bismillahir Rehmanir Rahim .

Alhamdulillah
There are a number of jamaats and people trying sincerely for the betterment of the Ummah in all the
aspects. Allah will definitely give rewards in this world and thereafter by the efforts brothers are putting
sincerely, just for the sake of ALLAH with no personal benefits. The results of those sincere efforts will
definitely appear sooner or later.
I am also trying to put some effort by joining dawah and tablighi work.
People mistakenly call people doing it as tablighi jamaat but this is actually a work , an activity and not a
sect.
I thought of this idea of writing this as it will benefit people who want to know about this and clarify the
doubts some people have.
I feel if someone has not invloved sincerely in an effort ,his comments will be based on assumptions.
As I know about this work for around 15 years and have been invloved in this work for last ten years and
have passed thru different phases of involvement , so I feel I can put light as how this work is done and
what are the basic rules in doing this method of dawah.
If someone wants to understand this work of dawah , he is required to get invlovled in this. Its like
swimming ,you need to get into the water to learn it . Just reading articles, book wont work.
One can find lots of material on net aginast and in favor of this work, I would suggest please see the lives
of the people involving this work in your locality before taking any assumption that they are mushrik and
bid’ati. Its true there may be some issues with the people doing it but in general Believe me I found it the
most organized way of doing dawah , improving Faith and doing Aamaal .
Tablighi work follows Sufism only what shariet allows and opposes polytheistic practice/Bid’ah in
all forms.
Its true that most of the Tablighi people are not well versed in Quran or Hadith but that makes no
difference at the end. They are asking Muslims to pray, fast and be observant Muslims. You
don't need to be a scholar to advise a fellow Muslim to be mindful of his obligation toward his
creator.

If any brother is finding anything against shariet in the people doing this work , Please point out
and please be soft in helping us as its a matter of our life after death.
When Allah has sent Musa (AS) to Firaun , Allah said , please be soft ,may be he will accept.
hopefully we are much better than Firaun.

I am planning to send the complete information in parts , This one is just an introduction.
In my next mail I will try to put what I learnt about dawah during my activities.
In later mails I will try to write about what we do when we go for jamaat in 3 days/40 days/4months and
when we stay at our places.
I hope Allah will accept my try and Inshallah my brothers will get some benefit.

wassalam
Arshad

Day 2:

Bismillahir Rehmanir Rahim

Allah Himself is the first Daa’i .He sent a number of messengers towards mankind for reminding People towards
straight path.

2:213 : Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and
with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the
People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through
selfish contumacy. Allah by His Grace Guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they
differed. For Allah guided whom He will to a path that is straight.

Since Adam (AS), Allah (SWT) has sent around 1 lac 24 thousand Prophets (Ibn Hanbal, Musnad, 5, 169) in this world
to remind people about the right path. Every prophet used to do his best to call his people towards Allah’s
commandments. Some of the prophets came for a region, some for a community and some for their family. Once
prophet dies or goes away, people used to go astray from the path of Allah because of misguidance by Shaytan, Nafs
and Luxuries. This sequence of sending prophets to remind people continued till the last Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

This is a will of Allah and He does whatever He wants. The arrival of last Prophet indicates that we are very close to
the Day of Judgment and this world is going to be destroyed when not a single person remains on earth saying “Allah”.

The Unique Features of Umat-e-muhammadiya

Allah has sent Muhammad (SAW) as Last prophet towards whole world and till the day of judgment and called him as
“The Kaffatal-lin-nas” (34:28 universal (Messenger)) and gave him Quran, Which is “Hudal-Lin-nas” (2:85
the guidance for mankind ) and his followers are given the title as “Ukhrijat-Lin-Nas” (3:110 evolved for
mankind) as mentioned in Quran.
The Prophet, Quran and Ummah , all are sent towards mankind.

As a follower of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), we have two responsibilities.

• The first responsibility is to follow shariet as an individual as defined in shariet.
• The second responsibility, calling mankind towards Allah, comes to us because Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is prophet
for whole mankind till qayamah . As he left the world, his mission to pass this message to whole mankind is
transferred to us; the followers alive in this century.
If we see the history, Sahaba (R), who got the message and training directly from Prophet Muhammad (SAW), took
dawah as purpose of their life.
We can say that most of the Part of the world where Islam exists at the moment was the efforts of sahaba under the
leadership of khulfa-e-rashidin .Two major empires Roman and Iranian were on the feet of sahaba. We can say the
Golden era of world was under Muslims rulers.

As the time of sahaba passed, the treasures and worldly materials started affecting the intensity of dawah in particular
from Muslim rulers and in general from common people. Slowly along with jihad fi sabeelillah , new era of munazra
and convincing non-Muslims about Islam started. Gradually Dawah activity was mainly taken by Ulema. But dawah
activity kept on going by individuals or by small groups.

One point to be noted that sahaba and the later people were doing both the activities in parallel
1. The individual activities like Ibadah, following Sunnah, getting knowledge about Islam, self-purification by doing
dhikrullah and whatever comes under huququl Ibad.
2. Dawah Work ,The responsibility as Last Ummah, calling people towards Allah.

As the intensity of the 2nd activity (Dawah) started fading out , people became more inclined towards their self
purification by doing more ibadah , dhikr and keeping themselves away from worldly things.
As we can see ,in current era because of leaving Dawah as a group and proper planning we
have following 3 Big losses.

First loss is, the message, which has to be reached to the non-muslims, is more or less stopped
Second loss is , spirit of following Islam as way of life started degrading from the lives of Muslims.

-2-
Third major loss is , Muslims started liking and adopting the cultures ,life styles of other communities and religions
and moreover started enjoying the life in this world and became doubtful and unconcerned about the life of akhirah.

...... Next topic : we will try to analyze as what exactly we have lost spritually and
worldly and how Dawah activity can help.

Day 3:

Bismillahir Rehmanir Rahim

Allah (SWT) says in Surah Baqarah :
"Ya aiyyu-hal-ladhina amanu, udkhulu fis-silmi kaaffa"
2:208 O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow
not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy.
To analyze about the Losses we have faced, lets look at the 5 department of ISLAM (Shoba-e-ISLAM) and see how
much we Follow.

1. Aqaa’id (beliefs) 2. Ibadaat (prayers) 3. ma’ashirat ( social activities)

4. Ma’amlaat (dealings) 4. Akhlaqiyat (Manners and huquq)
for a better understanding of these departments of ISLAM we can compare it with parts
of tree as follows.
1. Aqaaid as the root
2. Ibadaat as the trunk
3. Maa’shirat as branches
4. Maa’mlaat as Leaves
5. Akhlaqiat as fruits.

These departments are not independent but are very much interdependent. Tree will be as strong as its root. you have to
water at the roots and all the parts will be in the best condition , you dont need to put something on fruits to be sweet.
similarly, if we have strong faith (aqaaid) , Aa’maal will be strong then our Maashirat will spread over like
branches and visible from far, Maa’mlaat will add a beauty and give it a fresh look as green leaves, The sweetness of
fruit of Akhlaq will attract others towards the tree of ISLAM.

Lets see whether we are following all parts of ISLAM or we are missing something.

Either at the family level to be specific or the Muslim world in general, if we try to evaluate then we can easily make
out that in all the departments we are no better than the worse.
• We can start from akhlaqiyat , we will find that , we have become selfish .Everyone is waiting for others to do good
for him then only he will try to do good to others, be it a close relation or far.
• For Maa’mlaat people want to earn and improve their wordly status by any method followed by non-uslims and don’t
care how money comes. People have gone to the extent of making Interest as halal with putting *s.
• Regarding Maa’shirat, one can see our marriage system. Dowry and spending lacs of rupees is a status symbol
now.Its said that when marriages will become costly , Adultery will be cheap. This we what we are seeing practically.
• For Ibadah, If we just take the matter of Salah ( leaving fasting, zakah, Haj), in my locality there are atleast 800 of
baligh muslims but in fajr prayer only 80-90 people come , in which 50% are the students from the hostel attached with
the mosque.

• Last and the most important one is Aqaiad , people have forgotten the kalima “Lailaha Illallah. Muhammadur
Rasulullah” and its meaning . Leave alone what this kalima demands us as a Muslim.
We are living in a condition where we doubt about Allah and its messenger and the life of Akhirah , Leave alone the
discussion about doing Shirk .

There are discussion about people going to Dargaah and mazar for asking help. Yes! it’s an open shirk but do we have
any discussion to get away with shirk-e-khafi (shirk in Heart). Are we ready to put all of our time and money in the
Path of Allah and think that Allah is Raziq , He will provide rizq ,But we will say “Asbab” is required to be taken.
Some of us take business as Raziq and some of us take Job as Raziq. Do we have complete belief deep in our heart that
if we loose our Job or business then Allah will take care for us? Are we not doing shirk by mixing “Asbab” with Allah
which is in our heart and no one can see except Allah and we have to check all the evil feelings of our heart.

-3-
Now if we look at our materialistic status as compared to other communities or religions in the world,
We find that we are unanimously declared as the group of educationally, socially and economically backward people
who want to survive with the help of terror.

So if we look at us we will find ourselves as very low in all the departments of materials and spirituality.
If we take the things seriously about us ,we can find that our minds are not convinced with existence of Allah and
Akhirah , our hearts are full of Gods , our acts are against what we say in LA ILAHA ILLALLAH, MUHAMMDUR
RASOOLULLAH.

NEXT TOPIC : Why and How we can use Dawah to eradicate al the evils and overcome the losses

Bismillahir Rehmanir Rahim .

Evils starts when we leave Amr-bil-maarof, nahi- anil-munker....

Following is the Hadith which explains the meaning of an Ayah, where Allah(SWT) curses on Bani Israil . This Hadith
also puts light on the effects of leaving Dawah activity.

Its noted thru Abdullah bin Mas’ood (RA) , Hazrat Muhammed (SAW) said that the first evil which
came in the lives of Bani Israil was , when they saw someone doing a sin, they used tell him to stop as
its not permitted .On next day in spite of the person not accepting their Dawah and kept on doing the
sin ,they still contiue to have same behavior in eatings and sittings. When this became a normal thing
and they stopped doing the amr- bil- maaroof and nahi- anil-munker then Allah changed the hearts
of followers as the hearts of non- followers. After that Rasool (SAW) recited the verses of Surah Al-
Maida.

5:78 Lu'Inal-ladhiyna kafaruu mim baniy Curses were pronounced on those among the
israaiyla 'Alaa lisaani daawuuda wa 'Iysabni Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the
maryam* dhaalika bimaa 'ASaw wa kaanuu tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary:
ya'Åtaduun because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses.

5:79 kaanuu laa yatanaahawna 'Am munkarin Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the
fa'Aluuh* labi'sa maa kaanuu yaf'Aluun iniquities which they committed: evil indeed
were the deeds which they did.

After that Rasool (SAW) emphasized that you surely do the “Amr bil maroof and nahi anilmunker” and
stop the tyrant and drag him towards the truth and keep him on the right path.(Abu Dawood, Bab amr-
o-nahi)

In following hadith, Imaan is directly proportional to the Fikr of Dawah. We can check ourself as how
much strong Imaan we have .

Its Noted thru Abu Sa’eed khudri (RA), he said , I heard from Huzur (SAW) that if someone finds a
person doing a sin then he should stop him by hand ( by force) , if one does not have courage to stop by
hand ,should do the same using his tongue, again if one does not have this courage then at least he
sould feel the sadness in heart. Having the feeling in the heart is the weakest level of Imaan .(Muslim
,Bab Nahi anil munakar Min Imaan)

Seeing the above Hadith , we can think about ourselves and see at what level of Imaan we are . Do we use our hand ,
tongue or at least feel the sadness if our close relatives ; father, mother, children or wife do not pray or fast? There
should not be hate for the person doing the sin , but it should be a feeling atleast that its my weakness that I am not able
to convice them about the right path.

In first Hadith I wanted to point out that because of leaving dawah we faced all the losses . In second Hadith I wanted
to mention that Imaan is very much related to dawah . If we want to check our selves we will find us at the last level of

-4-
Imaan ( if we are linient to ourselves ) . As the Imaan and aqaid are the root of Tree of ISLAM, We need to work on
ourself to improve Dawah qualities and take the responsibility of doing Dawah.
It’s a practical experience that when a person takes a responsibility ( Allah has desind us such a way) auomatically
hidden qualities come out. As we start giving dawah about Allah (SWT) , teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and
life of akhirah then this dawah will improve our Imaan . As Imaan will become stronger, then our Ibadah ,
Maashirat ,Maamlat and akhliqiyat will get closer to teaching of ISLAM.

So in conclusion if we want to follow All departments of ISLAM as an individual and as Ummah we need to get
involved in Dawah to improve our IMAAN by calling people towards commands of Allah (SWT) , traditions of
Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and life of akhirah., Once we get power of Imaan we can easily implement ISLAM in our
lives.
