Desk Assessment Report of Motoling Gold Prospect, South Minahasa,

North Sulawesi, Indonesia
By :
Boy Surya Adhitya, MAusIMM
Executive Summary
This desk assessment of Gold Prospect in Motoling District, South Minahasa,
North Sulawesi.

Map 1. Motoling Location Map

Two gold mine well known in the surrounding this area such as Messel Gold
Mine (PT. NMR) and Riska and Lanut Godl Poject as PT. Avocet Bolaan
Mongondow known as sediment hosted gold mineralization, while Lanut as
epithermal gold ( high sulphidation system).

Regional Setting of North Arm of Sulawesi

The north arm of Sulawesi is comparatively well mineralized. Porphyry Cu--Au mineralization in the North Sulawesi Arc is associated with clusters of
small hornblende diorite or quartz diorite stocks, but the specific volcanic
environment above these intrusions and their magmatic affinity remain
unknown. Mineralization related to porphyry Cu---Au districts includes Cu---Au
skarn, polymetallic vein and high sulphidation epithermal Au (+enargite).
Porphyry Mo mineralization in the neck of Sulawesi is related to small stocks
or roof apophyses of the Dondo batholith.

Map 2. Regional Setting of Norm Arm Sulawesi as Magmatic Arch as Potential for Gold
Mineralization

Epithermal Au mineralization (typically quartz-calcite veins adularia) is

associated mainly with the Early Miocene andesitic arc but there are
important exceptions, and in general the age of mineralization is poorly
known. A district-wide correlation between epithermal Au mineralization and
porphyry Cu---Au mineralization is not apparent. The most important
epithermal Au district (Kotamobagu) is inferred to be associated with a longlived volcanic center represented by the Moat caldera.

In addition to high sulphidation Au mineralization related to porphyry

systems, other styles and settings of Au mineralization in the north arm are
exemplified by the Gunung Pani rhyolitic dome, the Patung diatreme breccia,
the Mesel jasperiod, hosted partly by carbonate rocks, and sedimentary
replacement Au-base metal mineralization at Doup. Diversity of
mineralization in the north arm is further illustrated by VMS mineralization in
volcanic basement to the Neogene arc, and by metamorphogenic quartz vein
Au mineralization in the neck of Sulawesi (I. Kavalieris, Th.M. van
Leeuwen and M. Wilson)

South

Minahasa Gold Prospects

South Minahasa is within North Arm Sulawesi Magmatic Arc which is

Miocene Recen in age. Base on secondary data survey there are identified
has prospect for Gold and Silver mineralization.
Rantatotok is one of the well known as traditional gold miner area since the
Dutch. Even this proven when PT NMR (Newmont Minahasa Raya) came to
this area at Messel
There some other area outside of PT. NMR consesion area as well known has
gold and silver mineralization as such as Sayoan, Moreah, Gelas Mountain,
Limpoga and Upper Totok. These area have been released by PT. NMR
Limpoga, Pasola dan Nona Hoa have been released since 2001 and been
given back to the local government. In Pasolo gold mineralization is in
volcanic rock as andesitic in composition as host.

1. Regional Geology of IUP Area

This area is consists of volcanic rock as tuffaceous unit and andesitic lava
as potential gold mineralization host rock.

Map 3. Regional Geology Map

2. Regional Structure
The main structure direction is NE SW and also NW SE direction. There
are some circular features as ancient volcanoes structure as observed on
the landsat map. These structures as weak zone where is the
mineralization would flown up.

3. Recommendation
As regional geological setting this area is possible for gold
mineralization area.
Geological structure and post volcanic structure were observed on
the landast TM .
There is no previous work have been done for this area.
I will recommend to do site visit and due diligence work of this
IUP.
