Autodesk Revit MEP Essentials Training

Courseware Description
The Autodesk Revit MEP Essentials training guide has been designed to teach the concepts and principles of
creating 3D parametric mechanical & engineering BIM models of MEP system from M&E engineering design
through construction documentation.
Autodesk Revit MEP software provides mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineers with the tools to
design even the most complex building systems. Revit supports Building Information Modeling (BIM) and
provide users to develop accurate design, analysis, and documentation of more efficient building systems from
concept through to construction. Use information rich models to support building systems design throughout the
building lifecycle. Autodesk Revit MEP tools are built for mechanical, HVAC, electrical, piping and fire
protection design engineers to help and ease users to design, analyze, and document efficient building systems.
Suggested Course Duration: 3 days

Objectives
The training guide is intended to introduce candidates to the softwares user interface and the basic HVAC,
electrical, and piping/plumbing components that make Autodesk Revit MEP a powerful and flexible
engineering modeling tool. The objective is to familiarize users with the tools necessary to create, document, and
print the parametric model for construction. The examples and practices are designed to take users through the
basics of a full Autodesk Revit MEP project, from linking in an architectural model to construction documents.

Who Should Attend

Design Architects/Interior Designers/Architectural BIM Modelers/Civil & Infrastructure CAD Operators

Prerequisites
Candidate will be introduces to the fundamental skills in learning Autodesk Revit MEP. Working knowledge
with 3D modelling and MEP engineering and MEP terminology will be an added advantage. Autodesk Revit
MEP course provides some solid foundation features for Mechanical and Electrical engineers to incorporate M&E
design into 3D architectural BIM model. BIM is a proven methodology and is gaining momentum worldwide and by
gaining Autodesk Revit MEP knowledge will definitely has its advantage.
