Course Description

Autodesk Revit Structure Essentials Training

Courseware Description
Autodesk Revit Structure software provides structural engineers and designers with the tools to design
building structural buildings more easily in 3D. Built to support Building Information Modeling (BIM), Autodesk
Revit Structure helps users use intelligent models to gain project insight through simulation and analysis and
predict performance prior to construction. Document designs more accurately using coordinated and consistent
information inherent in the intelligent models. Worksharing distributes the power of the parametric building
modeling environment across the project team. Multiple users can share the same intelligent building information
model and save their work to a central file. With proper Autodesk Revit Server implementation in a project
together with architects and M&E engineers consultants will allows all Autodesk Revit users to work
concurrently and vice versa.
Suggested Course Duration: 3 days

Objectives
This training guide is intended to introduce candidates to the Autodesk Revit Structure user interface and the
basic building components of the software that makes it a powerful and flexible structural BIM modeling tool.

Who Should Attend

Structural Design Engineers/BIM Modelers for Structural Consultants or Lecturer /Structural CAD Operators

Prerequisites
This training guide introduces the fundamental skills in learning how to use the Autodesk Revit Structure
software. It is highly recommended that candidates have experience and knowledge in structural design and its
terminology. Some basic knowledge understanding with 3D conceptual process is an added advantage. This
course brings structural engineers closer towards BIM conceptual methodology. Designing structures in
Autodesk Revit Structure helps structural engineers to develop accurate structural BIM models and visuals.
Autodesk Revit Structure BIM models are compatible with Autodesk Robo Structural Analysis and other
third party structural analysis software like CSC Orion, CSi ETABS, STAADPro, RAM Structural, etc.
