"Steel Shot Works" is the exclusive manufacturer of steel shot and grit in Ukraine, selling more than 70% of its products to all
European countries, having an advanced distribution network and contracts with end consumers. About 25% of production is
exported to Middle East and Far East countries, such as Taiwan, UAE, India, Pakistan, Iran, KSA, Malaysia, Singapore,
Australia and others. Due to the best price-quality correlation we are the most competitive at all the markets, accentuating in
the most quality demanding fields:
- construction;
- piping industry (gas and oil pipelines);
- stone-cutting,
which set strict norms for shot consumption, surface roughness, dustiness and quality of cleaning.
The project, manufacturing and the installation of our plant with the subsequent adjustment of the equipment was performed by
the world famous leading manufacturer of steel abrasives - company "Wheelabrator Allevard" so our product is a European
premium quality material. Steel Shot Works produces steel shot and steel grit according to the international standards.
Evaluating of quality, chemical composition, hardness and control of defects is performed in accordance with SAE J444, SAE
J827, SAE J1993 and ISO 11124 -3. Full production capacity is 32,000 mt per year. Quality Management System certificated
BVQI in 2005 for compliance to ISO 9001:2000 and in 2008 recertification was held by Bureau Veritas for compliance to ISO

Quenching and tempering furnaces from Wheelabrator Allevard create unique heat treatment process including secondary
quenching, which ensures absolutely homogeneous microstructure, and also low-, middle-, high-temperature tempering that
allow producing steel shot and grit with required ranges of hardness, and magnetic separator and form selector allow producing
steel shot and grit of exceptional quality.
The laboratory of our plant is equipped with all the necessary equipment for thorough quality control of SSW products. Besides
carrying out an obligatory sieve analysis, chemical composition testing with the help of spectrometer or in analytical way, shot
defectoscopy, hardness and density indentation, the laboratory has its own muffle furnaces and Straub machine for Ervin test.
SSW warehouse has a packaging area, equipped with vibration exciter, heat shrinkage facilities, and other equipment for
acquisition of reliable and aesthetic packing designed for different kinds of transportation, including transportation by sea
containers:
1) 1 mt big bags made of propylene with inner polyethylene layer protecting material from moisture.
2) 40 plastic bags of 25 kg each put into cardboard box wrapped with plastic film, placed on wooden pallet.
