Most obvious from the beginning of the class is the dynamic, but relaxed and varied pace
Eric presents for his students. Teacher presentation, group work, individual work and
summation
I resonate with his approach to get the students engaged immediately (especially at
8:20am) and take roll a bit later once the flow of the class has taken hold.
The feeling of the students was focused interest in the subject matter presented, relaxed
discussion, engagement in the manipulatives and ownership of the class space. This is a
learning community because of the manner in which Eric forms and shares the responsibility
of the curriculum with great care for his students.
