1. Why this tool was prepared?


With Phase I go-live of MIS application, access is not provided to all ITIs across India. Thus, to facilitate trainee data load
of all ITIs, state directorates have been asked to collect and load trainee data on their behalf.
This toll is meant to perform preliminary data validation checks, before data could be shared with State Directorates for
upload. ITIs are expected to run this tool and share no error screen shot from tool along with validated eligible trainee
data.
2. What is the purpose of this tool?
Purpose of client validation tool is to provide client side validation of Eligible Trainee Data prepared as per template. It
performs basic client side validations to ensure preliminary checks on data have been performed, before it can be
shared with State Directorates?
3. Does this tool cover all validations?
No, tool performs basic validations like, mandatory field check, data format check. However, complete validation of data
can only be done by MIS system, by looking up permissible values for Trade, District, State, ITI Code etc.
4. What are the system requirements of this tool?
Tool requires a windows machine with:

.NET Framework 4.0


ACE OLEDB Adapter 12.0

5. I am getting an error that my window is not genuine or license has expired. What to do?
This tool works only on genuine and activated windows operating system.
6. I am getting an error that .NET Framework 4.0 is missing, what to do?
Please install .NET Framework 4.0 from following location.
Restart your machine and try again.

7. I am getting an error that ACE OLDEB 12.0 is not installed/registered, what to do?
Please install ACE OLDEB 12.0 by downloading it from following location.
o Please chose appropriate file: AccessDatabaseEngine.exe for 32 bit machines and
AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe for 64 bit machines.
Restart your machine and try again.

8. I am getting error External table not in expected format, what to do?


Open excel sheet to be processed, while keeping the excel open, run the tool again.
If you are still getting this error, try unlocking sheet:

If you are using Office 2010 and above


Go to Review Tab and check if Protect Workbook is
highlighted.
If Protect workbook is highlighted, click on it and enter
password MIS.

If you are using Office older than 2010.


o Go to Tools Menu - > Protection and check if
Unprotect Sheet is highlighted.
o If Unprotect Sheet is highlighted, click on it and
enter password MIS.

Once excel is unprotected try again, save the file and try again.

9. Data passed all client validation, still MIS system is showing errors in file, what to do?
Tool performs only basic validations, complete validations can only be performed in MIS system. Please correct the
errors mentioned in the MIS system and reload corrected data.

10. I have uploaded data in MIS system, but its showing pending, why?
Due to huge volume of Trainee data, data is not loaded instantly. Instead, a scheduled process runs in the night to load
all uploaded files.
Please wait for overnight process to run, result of execution will be available in MIS system on next day.
11. I dont have Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 data ready. How can I upload my ITIs data for hall ticket
generation?
In order to facilitate data migration for 2014 academic calendar, it has been decided that data without Q1 and Q2
sessional marks, attendance and exam fee status would be allowed to be uploaded. Later on option will be provided to
update Q1 and Q2 data so that proper mark sheet could be generated.
Users are advised to put 0 for Q1 and/or Q2 sessional marks, attendance and No in exam fee status, if they dont
have data available for Q1 and/or Q2.
