Bridges & Highways

Very slender and aesthetic bridges with least visual impact on environment, enhances
sustainable environment. They are an optimal combination of high tensile strength of
structural steel and high compressive strength of concrete. High durability compared
to normal reinforced concrete decks due to restrictive crack width limitation.
Composite bridges exhibits a better behavior compared to steel deck bridges during
freezing in cold weather region. Low dead weight of superstructure (40% less than PSC
Girders) results in lower vertical loads, horizontal loads and seismic loads, thereby
delivers direct cost benefit on overall substructure cost and bearing cost.

MANUFACTURING Vertical
EBL has one of the largest manufacturing
capacities in the industry, with two
automated manufacturing plants - one
in North India at Pantnagar, Uttarachal and
other one covering Pan India near Nagpur,
Maharashtra. The company focuses in a big
way on heavy fabrication at the plants. Both
the plants are fully equipped to handle large
fabrication requirements.
The quality of manufacturing can be gauged
from the fact that the height of the fabricating
beam can be as much as 2500 mm and it can
weigh up to 35 MT. Plate thickness upto 100
mm and holes of 80 mm both for welded
joints or bolted construction can be carried
out. In flame cutting, each machine has
multi head oxy-acetylene torches to cut
plates in required sizes. The machine is
suitable to take plate thickness varying from
6mm to 200 mm. The plant also has shearing
machine suitable to cut plates upto
25 mm thickness.
The plant also has vertical drill machines
used for drilling holes in connections and base
plates. Drilling operation is carried on CNC

automatic drilling and punching machines and 3D

axial machines for precise bolted connections.
The plant is equipped with six dedicated
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) machines and two
heavy structure machines are under installation
with semi automatic and automatic welding, butt
welding, flange and WEB SAW welding, tilting both
sides welding, pre heating and straightening with
options of stable rimmed and fast travelling for
H-Beam, Box Beam and T-Section. The machines
are sourced from global reputed suppliers. WEB
width varies from 300 mm to 2500 mm. Flange
width varies from 150 mm to 800 mm maximum.
Maximum thickness of WEB and flange is 80 mm.
Maximum length of H-Beam is 12 metres. Fillet size
varies from 3 mm to 20 mm.
In Cold Form, there are machines like C&Z Purline
line that is used for making of Purlin/Girts in
shape of C&Z. This machine produce maximum
3.15 mm thick Purlin and depth of Purlin can be
given in various size of 150 mm, 200 mm and
250 mm with max length being 12 metres. It is a
CNC operating machine with online punching
facility.

The Threading Machine is used for threading of

rods. These machines are suitable upto 45 mm
rods and are used for threading on one or both
sides of rods for brace rods.
A Roof/Wall Cladding and Roll Forming line
machine is used for profiling/rolling of sheeting
in covered width of 1056 mm. Thickness varies
from 0.47 to 0.6 mm.

Work in this job includes every aspect of construction of a steel structure like designing, detail engineering, preparation of drawings, supply, fabrication and erection
of steel structures as pre-engineered warehouses/sheds including roof sheeting, side cladding, insulation, wind driven ventilators, electrically operated rolling shutter

These steel structures will consist of general PEB structures of columns,

column bracing, rafters, crane girders, crane rails, rail clips, auxiliary
girder, surge girder, buffer stopper, maintenance platform, roof girders,
roof purlins, side runners, roof bracing, sag angles, sag rods, floor
beams, platforms, monorail beam walkaways, stairs, ladders, grating,
handrails, roof cladding, side cladding, insulation, galvanized grating,
rolling shutter and MS Louvers, wind driven air ventilators and other
structures.
The entire steel structure will be approximately of 3700MT and will take
a minimum of 6 months to get completed. We aim to not only complete
the project with finesse and contribute our best intellect to it but also
learn from the project at every stage so that we eventually become a
stronger and a better firm.
