1 General Information

What changes are being made to the availability of the AutoCAD Revit Suites products?
On 12 April 2012, Autodesk will discontinue selling new licenses of the International English language
versions of AutoCAD Revit Architecture Suite, AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite and AutoCAD Revit MEP Suite
products. Other language versions of the AutoCAD Revit Suites will be discontinued as and when localized

What does this mean for me as an existing customer of an AutoCAD Revit Suite currently on Autodesk
Subscription?
Existing customers of AutoCAD Revit Suites who are currently on Autodesk Subscription can continue to
renew their subscription for these products, and will be entitled to upgrade to the 2013 version(s) of their
AutoCAD Revit Suite product(s) as a subscription benefit. Only those customers whose licenses are current
on Autodesk Subscription will be entitled to receive 2013 version(s) as a benefit of their subscription.
Customers will not be able to buy new licenses of or upgrade to 2013 versions outside of Autodesk
Subscription.

What does this mean for me as an existing customer of an older version of the AutoCAD Revit Suite
products that is not current on Autodesk Subscription?
For existing customers who have an older version of the AutoCAD Revit Suite products who wish to upgrade,
you will no longer be able to upgrade to AutoCAD Revit Suite products instead you should contact your
reseller to discuss relevant upgrade paths to the Autodesk Building Design Suite.

If I have an existing license of an AutoCAD Revit Suite product currently under Autodesk
Subscription, can I renew Subscription for the coming year?
Yes. Customers who are current on Autodesk Subscription can renew their AutoCAD Revit Suite
Subscriptions for the coming year. Please contact your reseller for additional information and pricing for
renewing your current Subscription.

Why is Autodesk discontinuing new license and upgrade sales of the AutoCAD Revit Suites including
AutoCAD Revit Architecture Suite, AutoCAD Revit MEP Suite and AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite?
In 2011, Autodesk launched a collection of design suites to help provide our customers with a more seamless
workflow. The design suites, including Autodesk Building Design Suite provide a range of tools intended to
support an end-to-end design workflow.
By consolidating our suites portfolio, Autodesk can better meet the needs of our customers by focusing our
efforts on developing and enhancing the workflows enabled by the Building Design Suite.

When will Autodesk discontinue selling new licenses and upgrades of the AutoCAD Revit Suites?
On 12 April 2012, Autodesk will discontinue selling new licenses and upgrades of the International English
language versions of the AutoCAD Revit Suites. Other language versions of the AutoCAD Revit Suite will be
discontinued when localized versions of the Building Design Suite are released. As release dates for
additional language versions of Building Design Suite 2013 get closer, your reseller may notify you of the
exact date.

Are there Autodesk products that offer equivalent functionality to the current versions of the AutoCAD
Revit Suites?
Yes. The Autodesk Building Design Suite 2013 Premium and Ultimate editions contain equivalent
functionality to the 2013 AutoCAD Revit Suite products plus additional capabilities which you can learn about
on the Autodesk website at the following location http://usa.autodesk.com/autodesk-building-design-suite/
Additionally, it is possible to purchase the latest version of each of the products in the AutoCAD Revit Suites
as separate standalone products with the exception of AutoCAD Structural Detailing which is ONLY available
in the Autodesk Building Design Suite.

Can I move from my existing AutoCAD Revit Suite to a standalone AutoCAD or Revit product?
Yes, there are available purchasing paths for AutoCAD Revit Suite customers to move to a standalone license
of an AutoCAD or Revit product.
