7 Maintenance

7.1 Summary
The function of maintenance is to keep panel operating well and make it can be
used as long as possible. Comply with DIN31051 and DL404 including the
following relative work.
Check-Ensure practical operation
Maintain-Keep prescribed operation
Repair-Resume prescribed operation
Notice:
It is the professional operators that have been trained well to do the maintenance.
They know panels well, attach importance to VDE/IEC and some safety rules
prescribed by other technical institution. If panel needs to be repaired, please
contact people of Zhenjiang Daqo Eaton company to help.
Checking and maintaining alternation (maintenance period) of some
equipments/components(such as wearing component) depends on its serving time
operation frequency and times of short circuit. Maintenance period of some other
components depends on working methods in particular situation, load degree and
environment influence (including pollution and corrosive air).
In particular situation, obey the following instructions:
150VCP VCB
SL400 Vacuum Contactor
CV-10(6) JAL Vacuum Contactor
JN15 Earthing switch
NAL/ISARC/XCFKN load switch
If necessary, obtain details from technical information of panel.
7.2 Checking and maintaining
Check and maintain panels every 2-5 years according to serving condition and
local environment.

Checking should include the following contents:

Comply with the rules of IEC,GB,DIN,VDE and other institution, isolate working
area and ensure that power source can not be putted in again.
-Check the function of switch device, control interlocks, protection ,signal and
other devices.
-Check the surface of spacing contact, remove truck, prop up and lock the shutter,
check contacts with eyes. If the surface that is silver-plated has wore and holes
come out, or the surface is corroded seriously, magnify or over heated (the surface
colour has changed), change contacts at this time. See 7.3 for details.
-Check accessories and auxiliary equipment (such as storage element), insulating
protective plate also should be checked, they must be dry and clean.
-External -discharging is not allowed on equipment surface under operation
voltage. Judge according to noise, peculiar smell and glow.
-Basic maintaining and checking is necessary, it mainly includes:
-When device is dirty ( if in the tropic, salt, leaf mold and insect may cause
pollution ,clean the equipment carefully, especially surface of insulated material.
Wipe the dust out with dry and soft cloth. Dip the soft cloth into alkalescent
cleaner, absterge dauby and greased reives, then wipe with rinsing and dry. Use
cleaner without halogen for components of insulated and serious pollution. Obey
the instructions of manufacture and Zhenjiang Daqo Eaton company for safety.
-Strictly prohibit using trichloroethance, trichloroethylence or carbon tetrachloride.
-If extermal discharging happens, it is often effective to besmear a piece of silicon
film as temporary mending. Refer to The Zhenjiang Daqo Eaton company for
permanent solution methods about these questions.
-Check whether the bolts of busbar and earthing system are screwed down and the
function of spacing contact is correct.
-When there is not enough lubrication between truck inserting system and contact
point or the lubrication disappears, GREASE-BARRIERTA IEL lubricant of
KLUBER company should be added.

-Oil the sliding part and bearing surface of panel (such as shutter, interlock and
guide system, gear drive system, threaded rod system and truck roller) oil MOBIL
GREASE lubricant to the place which should be ordered.
-Obey particular maintenance instruction.
7.3 Repairing
7.3.1 General repairing
-Repair immediately after finding objection
-Eliminate the iron rust in paint damaged area of steel plate and other steel
components in mechanical way (such as copper brush) thoroughly, skive the paint
surface slightly and wipe off the dirt, besmear rust-drying. The weight and
thickness of paint film is about 60m. Only paints that can be consistent together
can be used.
-Clean the white pitting on the surface of zinc-plated or chrome-plated function
components, wipe off the pitting with dry, clean and soft cloth, clean dirt after
installation, smear rust-proofing primer at one, smear surface paint after drying.
The thickness of paint film is about 30m.Epoxy paint and polyurethane paint is
applicable.
7.3.2 Component replacing
The change of spacing contact system (take 150VCP for example) ( Fig.7/1~7/3)
-The column of circuit breaker can be got out of contact insulating sleeve with
particular hexagonal spanner.
-Press ring tension spring into notch at the top of cup contact, screw down bolts
with particular hexagonal spanner 8N, press circuit breaker contact into stationary
contact of facility locating device, locate and lock ;then screw down bolts with
torque spanner.
-Check whether the matching of contact finger and ring tension spring is perfect.
Notice:
The installation position of spacing contact must be exact, it can not be changed

because of improper force. The replacement of spacing contact system had better
be decided by professional operators of Zhenjiang Daqo Eaton company.
7.4 Spare parts and auxiliary material
7.4.1 Spare parts
If it needs to buy reserve parts, there is a complete list. Mark sequence number of
relative panel and circuit breaker when buying reserve parts.
