REDANG ISLAND POLLUTION HUNT 2014

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Redang Island is one of the largest island off the east coast of Malaysia. It is one of nine
islands, which form a marine park, and which offer snorkelling and diving opportunities.
The management of Marine Parks primarily involves protection of the sensitive marine
and terrestrial ecosystems by controlling the impact from human activities. These include
waste & pollution management and conservation of coral reefs and terrestrial habitats.
Department of Tourism & Hospitality, Polytechnic Merlimau will be going to do research
about the pollution that happen in the well-being of aquatic reproduction. The name of
the research that going t be held soon is Redang Island Pollution Hunt.
As part of organizing this research, the class of Diploma in Event Management (3th
semester) under the course of HT530 Event Fundraising and Sponsorship is responsible
to gain fund from the name of company that have been shortlisted by the whole class
DEV3A.
2.0 GOAL, OBJECTIVES AND IMPACT
2.1 GOAL
The goal of this program is to instil concern for marine life and coastal hygiene.
2.2 OBJECTIVES

To clean up the coastal.

Waste inventory such as tine, bottled and plastic.
Identify the sources of waste.
The effectiveness of the garbage.

The impact of this programme are :
2.4.1 To reduce the quantity of waste will contaminate views.
2.4.2 Recycling of waste are there on the coastal.
2.4.3 Effectiveness of garbage.

3.3.1 The propose date of the trip is on October 3, 4 and 5.
3.3.2 The location is at Redang Island, Terengganu.
3.3.3 The trip will take 3 Days and 3 Nights.

3.3 FUNDRAISING AND SPONSORSHIP ACTIVITY

The activities are:

i. Selling food- macaroni, nugget, henna and futsal games.
ii. Selling clothes, lip tint and Beauty Talk.
iii. Movie night and Recycle day.
3.4.2 Sponsorship
-Each individual is allocated to a different group consisted of 2 people per group,
where they are respectively assigned across 10 company sponsors.

4.0 CONCLUSION
We hope Polytechnic Merlimau will give full cooperation to make sure that the
