INTRODUCTION
A very good afternoon to Miss Anushia and my dear classmates.Today, my fellow members and
me would like to talk about execution.The things that we are actually going to talk about is the
punishment during this decate.Two of us going to talk about the medieval times and the two
others going to talk about this 21st century punishment.
TRANSITION:
Now, we will discover some type of brutals execution exist a few decades ago.
BODY:
The first type of cruels execution is flaying. Flaying was a method of torture or execution used
most often in ancient and medieval times, flaying occurs when a person's skin is removed,
usually while they are still alive. Flaying was most popular in African and Asian countries
centuries ago, though instances are found in most parts of the world. Flaying was usually used to
punish or execute prisoners but was also sometimes used to gather information.
Despite occurring on different continents, the basic process of flaying is the same. A prisoner was
tied, stretched out, with their hands over their head and their feet together. Normally starting with
the face, the torturer would use a small knife to peel the skin off the body in one solid piece. This
process was very slow and painful, and victims usually died before the torturer had flayed them
to the waist. Sometimes victims were left in the sun or boiled in hot water first in order to make
the skin removal easier.
Next,the second type of execution is bamboo torture. It was extremely slow and painful
punishment used in Asia, the victim was tied down over several bamboo shoots. Because
bamboo grows so fast (up to 1 foot per day) it would penetrate directly through the victims body,
slowly impaling then. How does bamboo torture work?
Well, bamboo shoots grow rapidly, are strong, and are sharp. The victim is tied to the ground or
suspended over baby bamboo shoots and within days are impaled by the bamboo.
The third type of execution is Scavenger's Daughter. Scavenger 's Daughter created during the
reign of King Henry VIII by a of the Tower of London named Sir William Skevington or

William Skeffington . This tool is used to suppress the body so that future victims screamed in
pain . Just like in the picture , the position was created so that the blood from the nose and ears
can be seen dripping blood
TRANSITION:
So I will continue what my friend had tell you just now.I will show you another three type of
execution that exist long time ago.
BODY:
I am going to start with Brazen Bull.Brazen Bull is designed in ancient Greece.A solid piece of
brass was cast with a door on the side that could be opened and latched.The victim would then be
slowly roasted to death all while screaming in agonizing pain.To amplify these screams and
make them sound like the bellowing of a bull.The next type of execution is Quartered. During
medieval times, the penalty for

high treason in England was to be hanged,

drawn and

quartered in public . In this torture technique, the victim is dragged in a wooden frame called a
hurdle to the place of execution. They would then be hanged by the neck for a short period of
time until they are near-death (hanged), followed by disembowelment and castration where the
entrails and genitalia are burned in front of the victim (drawn). Lastly,victim would then be
divided into four separate parts and beheaded (quartered).
TRANSITION:
So I would like show you some of the unexpected prison in the world. This prisons maybe never
you expected before this.
BODY:
My first prison that I would like to share with you about Alcatraz Prison that located In San
Francisco.It also known as The Rock and The Devil Ireland.It also known as The Rock
and The Devil Ireland. At the middle of the sea, prisoner cannot easily escape and no body had
success. This prison lack of fresh water and food because all supplies had to be brought in by
boat. It was closed in 1963 because it was expensive to operate.The next prison is ADX
Florence Supermax Prison.It is also known as clean version of hell. Built in 1994, when US

prison service panic after a spate of breakouts and guard killings. Prisoner was saperated from
warden and Prisoner had to stay in the jail 23 hours per day. Prisoner had mental and physical
abuse.This prison Implement the maximum security. Most of the prisoner is first class
criminal.My last prison is Leoben Justice Centre Prison.It was Placed in Leoben, Austria.This
prison was built in 2004,and Load to 205 prisoner only.This prison built by architect Josef
Hohensinn With concept of art and nature.
TRANSITION: Now I would like to continue with another 3 type of prison.
BODY:
The first prison is Pondok Bambu Prison, Indonesia. The prison looks more like a 4 star resort.
This prison shows how corrupt the legal system in Indonesia can be. The rooms are design with
furniture, karaoke machines, fridges, bathrooms, and personal climate controlled air condition.
Popular dangdut singer and actress Julia Perez who was found guilty of allegedly hurting fellow
dangdut artiste Dewi Persik will serve her three-month jail term at the Pondok Bambu prison in
Jakarta.Next is Aranjuez Prison.It is located in the Spanish town.It was built for a parents who
became a prisoner and have a child under age 3. In this prison, they can bring their child to the
prison and stay with them.This prison have many facilities, They are up to 150 square feet and
feature private bathrooms. The jail has 36 cell units for families.The last prison is Cebu prison
Philippine. It is a maximum security prison facility with a capacity for 1600 inmates.The prison
also provide program of choreographed exercise routines.The prisoner facing charges for no less
than murder.The prisoner would exercise for an hour each day.
CONCLUSION:
So there how it goes our presentation. We can see the differences between the medieval times
execution and during this modern days execution.We can see that todays execution is more
humane and mercy than during these old days.We should be greatful living in this days where
there is no wars.
