thebrakes.Forgoodtiresondrysurfaces,thereisnotmuch
differencebetweenrollingandslidingfriction,andifyouback
offthebrakingforceverymuch,youwillgetlessbrakingthan
ifyoujustlockedthemdown.Theotherissueisthatinan
extremeemergency,thebrakingisinstinctiveandyoutendto
hitthebrakesashardasyoucanbeforeyoucaneventhink
aboutit.
