1. Abstract
The Ver.B cabinets and internal parts will be in the end of marketing (EOM). The DBS3900 (AC) Ver.D
cabinets will be sold to replace the Ver.B cabinets. This PCN is intended for customers using Huawei
DBS3900 (AC) Ver.B cabinets.
The last date for purchase of the Ver.B cabinets is June 30, 2013 and the last date for supply of Ver.B
cabinet is December 31, 2013.

Customer can select one type to replace the current version of cabinets.

Note 1 The spare parts of the Ver.D cabinet are different from the Ver.B cabinets. Therefore, a certain
quantity of spare parts of the Ver.B cabinets must be reserved for future use. The last order date of spare parts
is June 30, 2015 for Ver.B cabinets.

6. Categorization Basis
(1) Ver.B cabinets and parts will be in the EOM and be replaced by Ver.D..
(2) The new release has all the functions of current version and better performance. The Ver.B can support 6
RRU(2*40W) at maximum. The Ver.D1 can support 6 RRU(2*60W) at maximum. The Ver.D2 supports
6 RRU(2*60W) at maximum without BTS software upgrading. The Ver.D2 also supports 12
RRU(2*60W) with one DCDU-12B added at 1U user space in APM30H after BTS software is upgraded.
The Ver.D2 cabinet supports two BBU in one APM30H also.

7. Change Description
(A) The change of the Ver. D cabinets
The changed parts include the Heat Exchanger, fan tray, TEC and DCDU.etc. The external size and
installing of new cabinet are the same as old one.
The Ver.D cabinet improves the capacity of power supply, heat dissipation and cabling. It has all the
functions of the Ver.B cabinet and better performance instead.
The cabinet version info can be acquired by OMC remotely or be seen on the nameplate in the cabinet
on site.

7.1
The change of Heat Exchanger and interal Fan tray in APM30H
and TMC11H

(A) The air vent areas are enlarged for the internal heat exchanger on the door of APM30H/TMC11H
Ver.D1/Ver.D2 cabinet. But the external size of the door keeps the same as the Ver.B still.
The external fan type and Heat exchanger core are changed from Ver.B cabinet to Ver.D1/Ver.D2
cabinet. The external fan type is the same between APM30H/TMC11H Ver.D1 and
APM30H/TMC11H Ver.D2.

(B) The fan tray is changed from FAN 02A to FAN 02D. The air outlet position is changed from top to
bottom.
The HPMI board is cancelled to make the monitor cable connection simple on the new fan tray. The
GATE andTEM_BAT1interfaces are supported directly in PMU11A module for APM30H. The
other internal reserved interfaces are cancelled to avoid wrong connection.

(C) The heat dissipation capacity of APM30H/TMC11H is improved.

7.2

The change of AC/DC power system inside in APM30H

(A) The layout and name change.

When Ver.D1/Ver.D2 APM30H cabinet replace the Ver.B cabinet, the EPU05A-03 (220V AC) or
EPU05A-05 (110V AC) replace the EPS 01B (220V AC) or EPS 01D (110V AC) of embedded
power system.
APM30H Ver.D1 supports 3 PSU at maximum. APM30H Ver.D2 supports 5 PSU at maximum.
Three PSU can be managed in Ver.D2 cabinet like Ver.B cabinet with the same BTS software. The
BTS software need be upgraded if four or five PSU need be used in Ver.D2 cabinet to support 12
RRU.

7.5

The change of fan tray in IBBS200D

There is only one fan in IBBS200D Ver.D to save power consumption. The Ver.B has two fans.
The monitor board is changed from CMUA of Ver.B cabinet to CMUEA of Ver.D cabinet. But the

external cable interfaces keeps the same.

7.6

The change of TEC module in IBBS200T

The Thermoelectric Cooler module is changed in IBBS200T Ver.D. The installing interface keeps

the same for the new TEC module.

The monitor board is changed from CMUA of Ver.B cabinet to CMUEA of Ver.D cabinet. But the
external cable interfaces keeps the same.

The power distribution unit is improved in Ver.D to support more powerful equipments with more

discharge current.

The change of cable outlet in IBBS200D/IBBS200T

The power cable diameter is enlarged and the cable outlet is adjusted also on the bottom of cabinet. The
new outdoor type of cable bag has double space for cable and much shorter installing time than the current
version.

The cabinet external packages are changed from wood to paper in order to be more
environments friendly.
