National Institute of Fashion Technology invites sealed quotations from established,
reputed and experienced firms to supply of electrical items at NIFT Campus,
Doorbhash Nagar, Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh - 229010. Details of the electrical
items to be supplied are enclosed in the AnnexureI. Tender Document is
available on the website of the NIFT i.e. www.nift.ac.in/raebareli The intending
bidders may download the
tender document containing the terms and
conditions and submit the same along with requisite amount of Earnest Money
in the form of crossed Demand Draft in favour of NIFT" payable at Rae Bareli
(UP).Tenders received without the requisite EMD will be rejected.
All interested service providers are requested to submit their sealed quotations as
per prescribed procedure in the tender box kept at Reception on or before 16:00

SCOPE OF WORK:
The selected Agency/Firm shall be responsible to supply of electrical items in the office,
premises locations of NIFT Rae Bar eli.
Validity of the contract: The contract for providing electrical items will be valid for a period of
one year. The contract can be extended further with the mutual consent of both the parties on
the same rates, terms and condition. NIFT Rae Bareli, however, reserves the right to
terminate the contract by giving 15 days notice and without assigning any reason thereof.
1. The offers should be submitted in two bid system with one sealed envelope
containing complete detail, qualification, experience and other parameter of the bidder
excluding the financial aspect and the other sealed envelope should contain only the
quotation for the rates. These envelopes should be submitted with words Technical
Bid and Financial bid separately. Both the envelope should be contained in a large
envelope subscribed Electrical items on receipt of the offers, initially the technical bid
of all the supplier will be examined and short listed.
2. Financial bid of only those suppliers will be open who meet the requirement specified
under the technical bid.
3. The rate quoted shall be applicable for one year from the tender approval date and no
escalation shall be given on any item. The supplier is bound to supply the material on
the rates quoted in the financial bid for one year from the date of conclusion of rate
contract. However in case of major fluctuation in the rates of the quoted items ,the
party can submit the request for the same, but the decision of the Director shall be final
in this case and shall be acceptable to the party. The institute can award best tender to
the supplier who has quoted lowest figure for that particular item.

5. Envelope No.2 (Financial bid)
Price quoted by the tender shall be including of all levies, taxes or charges as may be
applicable. No escalation in price would be permitted on any ground. No Commercial

or technical condition or qualification of any sort shall be indicated in is envelope

otherwise the offers shall be summarily rejected.
Earnest money deposit of Rs10,000/-(Ten thousand only)must accompany the bid
(Envelope No.1)through demand draft in favor of NIFT Payable at Rae Bareli
otherwise it shall be rejected. It will be returned within one month to unsuccessful
terderes.EMD of tendering firms who submit the sealed quotations but withdraw the
same before expiry of the tender validity date may be forfeited at the discretion of
NIFT.
NIFT reserve the right to accept or reject any or all offers without assigning any
reason thereof for which no claim shall be entertained.
The institute resumes the right to conclude more than one rate contract for the same
items.
Rate contract will be approved as per lowest price of each line.

10. Performance Security:

(a) The successful bidder shall be required to deposit an amount equal to 10% of the
contract value within 30 days of issue of letter of intent, as Performance Security.
(b) Performance security shall be submitted in the form of BG drawn in favour of
NIFT Rae Bareli and shall be valid for a period of 18 months.
(c) Performance Security will be discharged after completion of contractors
performance obligations including warranty obligations under the contract.
(d) If the contractor fails or neglects any of his obligations under the contract, NIFT
Rae Bareli reserve the right to forfeit either whole or any part of Performance
security furnished by the bidder as penalty for such failure.
11. Payment: Payment to the selected agency shall be released on monthly basis.
The service provider shall submit two billsone for monthly approved
charges and another for the item of accessories supplied/installed
during repair work.
12. TDS and any other Government levies applicable shall be deducted on bill amount as
per Government of India instructions issued from time to time.
13. NI F T R a e B ar e l i reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the Tenders.
14. NIFT Rae Bareli reserves the right to cancel the Contract any time without
assigning any reason.
Dispute if any, arising out of the contract shall be settled by mutual discussion or
arbitration by sole arbitrator to be appointed by Director, NIFT at Rae Bareli as per the
provisions of the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and the rules framed there
under. Any Arbitrator appointed shall not have the jurisdiction to pass any interim awards, or
to grant interest higher than 8% charged simply on the award amounts or amounts payable
to either party. No dispute arising of the execution, implementation or termination of the
present contract, as also any other dispute with respect to the present contract be
entertained by any court and shall be subject matter of Arbitration under the Indian
Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and rules framed there under.
All legal disputes shall be subject to jurisdiction of Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh court only.
