ROCHESTER AT&T EMPLOYEES RECOGNIZED FOR


OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO SERVICE
More than 4,500 AT&T employees nationwide received the Presidents Volunteer
Service Award including five locally
ROCHESTER, NY, April 13, 2015 AT&T* is proud to recognize that Jody D'AmbrosioRowe, Barbara Millet, Michael McCormick, Summer O'Brien, and Linda Baker of the
Rochester area, along with the 4,512 employees nationwide, who are being honored with the
Presidents Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for giving their time to better the communities
around them.
The PVSA, the nations premier volunteer awards program, gives U.S. Presidential recognition
to individuals who have demonstrated commitment to volunteerism and encourages others to
live a life of service. AT&T employees in Rochester logged a minimum of 100 hours in service to
others last year, with some employees volunteering more than 500 hours to receive the Gold
Award.
"I'm incredibly proud to see hundreds of employees receive recognition for their volunteer
service," said Marissa Shorenstein, New York President, AT&T. "We would like to congratulate
our PVSA recipients and thank them for their commitment to improving the communities where
they live and work."
Employees participated in activities ranging from mentoring students online in science and
math, cleaning up local parks, or traveling overseas to meet the needs of people in a country far
away.
Over time, these moments of giving can add up to millions of service hours. AT&T employees
and retirees have volunteered more than 5.6 million hours in 2014 alone.

PVSA is an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and is
administered by Points of Light. With a shared mission of inspiring more to answer the call to
service, PVSA celebrates the impact we can all make in bettering our communities and our
world. The award is available on an annual basis and is an honor that every American from
youth to seniors can participate in and be recognized by our nations president for their
dedication to volunteerism.
To be eligible to receive the award, AT&T submits a record of employees' annual volunteer
service hours to be verified and considered eligible for the award.
