In 3000 words (Excluding reference/ bibliography lists and Table of Contents), write a proposal on a
selected research topic that you will do a research project on for later this semester.
Chapter 1: Introduction
The selected topic must only be based on subjects that you have taken during your UCSI degree.
For example, if you are a student in Accounting and Finance, your research topic must be related to
Accounting and Finance, or other elective subjects that you have taken.
It is compulsory for students to follow the assignment paper Requirements list and the Research
Proposal Assessment Scheme in writing the paper. If the proposal does not adhere to the
Requirements and Assessment Scheme, the lecturer reserves the right to deduct marks accordingly.

APA Referencing System MUST BE USED for both in-text referencing, and the reference list
You must refer to at least 15 journal articles and 2 books in writing this paper.
Besides the above, you can refer to government documents, newspaper articles and other published
works for your assignment. These articles exclude, but are not limited to:- blogs, individual's
websites, and Wikipedia articles. If you are not sure of whether the articles you found are valid,
refer to the lecturer.
Please refer to the Research Proposal Assessment Form below, for the criteria that will be looked at,
in grading your paper.
Fill in and print out a copy of the assessment form below and place it in front of your paper
upon submission
It is the groups responsibility that the members details are accurate. Marks will be awarded
to students with the correct name and student ID listed.
Late submissions will be penalised 3% per day, unless extension to the deadline is sought, at least
a week prior to it.
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE ABOVE, WILL LEAD TO LOSS OF MARKS. The lecturer will
not negotiate on the above guidelines. These guidelines and format are meant to enhance the
standard of academic writing among students.
