Connection
The signalling elements are wired
using the screw terminals in the
connection element, screw terminals
on the 8WD42 and screw or spring
type terminals on the 8WD44.
Cable outlet
The connecting cables can be guided
either downwards or sideways
through the cable gland using an
adapter that can be screwed under
the foot. This makes wiring easier if
there is no access from below.
Connection to AS-Interface
The 8WD4 signalling columns can be
directly connected to the AS-interface
bus system through an adapter
element that can be integrated.
Wiring outlay is reduced as the result.
The two wire bus cable is fixed to the
screw terminals in the connection
element. AS-interface adapter
element is a standard slave and must
be the first module to be positioned
on the connection element. A
maximum of 4 signalling elements can
then be mounted on it.

DaDo continuous signalling system

The DaDo signalling system is

suitable for a range of applications
in transportation, domestic and
commercial buildings. Operated
over its entire length, it is ideal for
situations which require a long,
continuous signalling switch.
The system is simple, robust and
reliable, consisting of three parts; the
aluminium mounting channel, a fully
waterproof Tapeswitch ribbon switch
and the TPE top cover.
Order code configuration

Easy installation
After lead connections are made to
the ribbon switch and the base is
screwed to the wall, the switch is
simply placed in the base with the
top cover snapped into position.
End caps make the transition from
the DaDo system assembly to
standard 25 x 15mm cable trunking,
keeping the wiring neat and tidy.
Where internal wiring is used, closed
end caps are available. Once
assembled, the system is tamperproof and very difficult to vandalise.
Sensitivity options
The system is supplied in high
sensitivity as standard, making it ideal
for panic alarm situations where any
contact with the strip will cause an
alarm. For other applications where a
high level of accidental contact may
cause nuisance tripping of the alarm,
a less sensitive version is available
that requires a more deliberate
operation to cause an alarm.

LEDs incorporated into its
whole length.
The integral LEDs can be used to
make the strip easier to locate, or
more dynamically, will flash when
the strip is operated.
