Introduction
This document aims to guide the user in the operation of the program
Digital Technical Digital Data.
If you need guidance in the installation of this program consult the
Digital Technical Data Installation Manual document.
If you need guidance in the updating documents and applications
consult the Digital Technical Data Web Update document.

Starting Digital Technical Data

Once the Digital Technical Data is installed, click on its icon on the desktop
or through the Start Menu.

Aircraft Selection Screen
The user that has more than one Aircraft model can choose one of them
through this screen.

Manual Selection Screen
This screen allows the users to choose the manual or manuals that they
want to consult.

Colour Icon
The colour icons indicate the new or revised files.

Legend
The legend that is located on system skirting board discloses the meaning
of each color.

Reading Files
Browse through the Digital Technical Datas file directory structure and click
on the desired file.
The file will be opened for viewing.
Select
the file.

Finding words in PDF documents
You can use the Search field to find a complete word or part of a word in
the current PDF document.
Digital Technical Data looks for the word by reading every word on every
page in the file.

To find a word using the Search command
1. Enter the text to be searched in the Search field.
2. Select the manuals to be searched in the Manual combo box.
3. Select search options if necessary.

4. Click the Search button. Digital Technical Data finds the occurrences of
the word in the selected manuals.
5. If you need to stop the search process, click on the Stop button.
The result will be displayed in the tab windows with the Search Result
title.

Hyperlinks
Links can connect parts of a document or jump to other PDF documents. In

the Digital Technical Data, every Table of Content (TOC) has links that will
quickly take you to the correct chapter.

1. Select the hand tool, a zoom tool, or a selection tool.

2. Let the pointer stay over the linked area on the page until the pointer
changes to a hand with a pointing finger. Then click the link.

Troubleshooting
1. When the CD is inserted into the CD/DVD-Rom drive, it fails to run

automatically.
Close all open programs, then remove the CD and place it again in the
CD/DVD-Rom drive.
Check to see if the "Auto Insert Notification" configuration of your CD-Rom
drive is enabled. If it is not, enable this configuration and restart the system,
then replace the CD in the CD-Rom drive (Refer to the Appendix for
explanation on how to enable the Autorun option of your CD-Rom drive.
If you cannot carry out the procedures above, directly run the
"AUTORUN.EXE" file, which is at the CD root directory. E.g.:
(D:\Autorun.exe)
2. The computer is slow when the program is run or when the
directory structure is used.
Make sure that the configuration of your computer meets the minimum
required by the product.
Make sure that there are not too many open programs, causing the system
to be overloaded.
Close any program that causes network interruptions or frequent checkings,
such as e-mail, fax, TCP/IP protocols or similar.
3. Can the Digital Technical Data be copied onto the computer
HardDisk?
The Digital Technical Data program was in principle prepared to work only
on the CD provided by Embraer. In case a copy to your Hard Disk is made,
the program may fail to work properly. The same applies to the copies
made from the original CD. It must be reminded that the update of the Cd
information is based on contractual negotiations and Embraer, therefore,
disclaims any responsibility for unauthorized copies of the Digital Technical
Data program and will not update such copies.
