A. Full-text Indexing
One of the main features of LogicalDOC is full-text indexing of all documents to provide instant search results based on the content of files and
metadata. By leveraging the best of breed indexing technologies, LogicalDOC automatically indexes the complete contents of documents in the
repository. To maximize performances and increase concurrency, the indexing procedure is asynchronous with a configurable scheduling policy.
Different algorithms are applied depending on the language of the document so that the search will be very tailored and able to detect word variants
that are specific for a particular language.

C. Version Control
LogicalDOCs Integrated Version Control automatically manages each version of a document as it enters LogicalDOC. Every time a document is
modified, a new version is produced and tracked. The document version is a
always visible the latest version is put forward for current operations while
previous versions remain viewable. Version control allows you to monitor when any change was made and who performed it. A new version is created
when a user changes metadata or when a check

D. Document Searching
Search and retrieve documents is very simple in LogicalDOC, a quick search box is always available in the user interface allowing

find your documents from wherever in the application. Full-text document searches on content and / or on any selection of metadata returns
immediate results. In addition you could use other search tools like the tag search that allows you to find all documents tagged with a specific tag.

E. Multi-Language Support
LogicalDOC is an international Document Management System that supports a wide variety of languages. Language support means more than a
simple translation of the user interface; it means LogicalDOC has the ability to appropriately manage documents in foreign languages by using
specialized indexing algorithms. This means you can feel at ease handling documents and correspondence coming from outside your country and you
will never have to worry about the language of your users since all of them can access a localized, comfortable user interface. Currently supported
languages include: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Danish, Norwegian, Arabic, Dutch,

LogicalDOC supports a feature called Drop Spot that allows you to drag and drop files directly from your desktop into the archive. To accomplish this

organization to quickly find documents without any training. Importing documents is so simple that nobody has to perform any tasks; just configure the
import sources and let LogicalDOC do all the work! LogicalDOC connects to all your shared locations PCs, servers, storage, etc. and automatically
imports your documents. Once imported, those documents can be searched, versioned, and shared among your staff. You can use this feature to
automate document importing by monitoring import folders that receive files scanned from an MFP or another applications output reporting process.

D. Document Delivery (Export Archives)

The Export Archives feature can be easily used to organize, package, and deliver files, or archive them off-line. Administrators, project managers,
and other users who need to save information have the ability to organize and package files, and even hand them off to people who might not
be LogicalDOC users.
An Export Archive is implemented as a particular folder in the server that can be packed into DVD, CD, USB drive, or any other media device. It is
very easy to gather and organize a set of documents into export archives where the folder structure and all metadata is retained. Each Export Archive

is human readable, can be imported into another LogicalDOC instance and in addition you can open it with the Archive Reader application that
includes a search feature to retrieve documents based on property metadata.

E. Import from E-Mail boxes

imported, the e-mails can be searched and shared among your staff. LogicalDOC doesn't affect in any way your actual practices and your users will
also continue to receive e-mails in their preferred mailer, nobody needs to know that LogicalDOC is working under the covers.

Sometimes customers come to you asking for a document you have in your system: an invoice, a technical sheet or other stuffs like these. With
LogicalDOC it is very simple to quickly retrieve the asked documents and send them as e-mail attachment. You only have to click on the send as
email menu item and the selected documents will be sent to a set of recipients.
There's no need to code the recipients as LogicalDOC users, they can be simple email addresses. Sometimes you don't want to send large
documents as attachments, in these cases you may choose the option send as download ticket. In this way your recipients will receive a simple
message containing a download link they may use to download the documents directly from your document management system.

C. Custom Document Identifier

Uniquely identifying documents is very simple and clear in LogicalDOC: each document has an unique number that will identify the item for all it's life
in your document management system.
If your organization has it's own rules for identifying documents, LogicalDOC can follow your practices and handle a second unique identifier, the so
called Custom Identifier. LogicalDOC assures you that the custom identifier cannot be duplicated so you can use it as your own identifier. Of course
the custom identifier is always shown and can be used in searches.
If you want to automate the assignment of custom identifiers to your upcoming or checked-in documents, LogicalDOC allows you to configure different
schemas specific to each document template.

E. Multi Volumes Storage

LogicalDOC maintains a repository of all loaded documents. The same repository contains not only the files of the documents, but also all past
revisions and all these information are maintained in a reliable and secure file system structure.
The LogicalDOC repository may span multiple volumes, so when a volume becomes full, you can add another disk and continue storing documents
into this new volume. As an interesting option for any volume you can choose to compress and crypt the saved information.
