Properties
COTOBLANC NSR was developed especially for the fast soaping of reactive dyeings.
COTOBLANC NSR eliminates non-fixed parts of the dyestuff which stick to the surface and retains them in the
soaping liquor.
Thus a reexhaustion of the dissolved hydrolysate parts can be prevented effectively.
Since COTOBLANC NSR is adjusted low-foaming it can be used on all aggregates.
Due to its good efficiency it is possible to save time, energy and rinsing baths when using COTOBLANC NSR.

Application technique
Diluting instruction
COTOBLANC NSR is diluted by stirring it into hot water.

Application fields
In general, reactive dyeings have a good fastness level due to the covalent dyestuff fibre linkage.
However, it is a precondition that the non fixed dyestuff and the dyestuff hydrolysate is removed nearly
completely from the inside of the fibre and from the fibre surface.
This is done by an intensive rinsing and soaping after the dyeing.
If most of the salt, alkali and hydrolysate parts are removed by cold, warm and hot rinsing processes, a soap
treatment with COTOBLANC NSR at the boil is carried out.
Due to the high washing temperature of about 98 C, washing mechanics, time and the additions
of COTOBLANC NSR almost all of the hydrolysate is removed.

According to the machine type, the fabric quality and the liquor ratio, we recommend
0.2 - 0.5 g/l

COTOBLANC NSR

at approx. 98 C during 10 - 20 min.

In case of an overdosage of COTOBLANC NSR the results will not be better; in case of a strong overdosage the fast
soaping effect can even be impaired.
The optimum pH-range for the soaping of reactive dyeings is between pH 7.0 and 9.0.
The most important advantage of COTOBLANC NSR is, that in most cases, one soaping treatment will be
sufficient, even for very colour intensive reactive dyeings.
Moreover, it is possible to save rinsing baths after the soaping.
Thus the processing costs can be reduced, i.e. the consumption of water, energy and time.
If a very high level of wet fastness is required we recommend to carry out an additional cationic aftertreatment
with REWIN DWR, REWIN MRT, REWIN EVB, or REWIN SRF (see the technical leaflets).
