The MT6300AC features an all-new AC drive system that can significantly


reduce friction brake wear. This new drive system allows the truck
to transition from full propel to full retard in less than a second, and
the dynamic retarding can fully stop the truck. In addition, a unique
modular design provides a powerful and durable drive system designed for easy maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.

When it comes to emptying the dump body of the MT6300AC, a


uniquely curved floor, front and canopy ease the thorough dumping
of contents, including oil sands. The hybrid, highefficiency, patented
dump body design includes special runners that transfer weight to
the frame and joint isolation that reinforces welded areas. Dump body
heating is available as an option.

Superstructure
Rugged one-piece I-beam construction featuring a closed bottom

Integral ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) cab meets SAE J1040


MAY94 force and energy requirements. Sound exposure is at an Leq
(equivalent sound level) of less than 82 dB (A) and is tested per ANSI/
SAE J1166 MAY90 with doors and windows closed. The cab also
meets both U.S. OSHA and MSHA occupational noise criteria for
operator-weighted soundexposure level. Features include room for two
full-size seats, deluxe interior, AM/FM/CD radio, tinted safety glass,
curved windshield for added field of view, tilt and telescopic steering
wheel, heater and defroster and pressurized and filtered intake air for
driver comfort. Controller-area Network (CAN) gauges, power windows
and pressurized and filtered air.

Straight-rail frame design eliminates sources of stress concentration
such as bends and breaks.
Deep-section main rails in critical frame areas reduce stress and
increase frame fatigue life.
Computer-aided design utilizes double box-section construction of
special alloy steel.

Four nitrogen-over-oil cylindrical suspension struts provide maximum


driver comfort and are interchangeable left to right, keeping inventory
cost low. Upper and lower suspension attachment points to frame
are clevis and pin connected, providing rugged reliability and easy
maintenance. Both axles incorporate a clevis and pin lateral stabalizing link (panhard rod) to ensure true tire tracking and maximize truck
performance. Rugged bellows enclose and protect suspension rod. A
drop-center front beam axle features box section construction for long
service life, reduced load transfer to the frame during turns, improved
stability and driver comfort.
