Technical Specifications for the Third Generation Mobile Telecommunication

Femtocell Access Point Radio Frequency Equipment
1. Scope
This regulation applies to the type approval of the third generation mobile
telecommunication Femtocell access point radio frequency equipment, which is
WCDMA FDD stated in IMT-2000.
2. Technical Standard
2.1

This regulation is stipulated based on European Unions ETSI EN 301908-3,

the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 3GPP TS25.104, TS25.141, the R.O.C.
national standards (CNS14959, CNS13438 and CNS14336) and other

2.2

international technical standards.

Under the consideration of having the nations third generation mobile
telecommunication Femtocell access point radio frequency equipment
consistent with international technical standards, all the testing items,
eligibility Criteria and testing methods stated in this regulation will follow the
up-to-date version of technical standards.

3. Test Items and Specification Value

Details regarding the testing items and specification values of the mobile
telecommunication Femtocell access point are described in attachment 1.
4. Testing Requirements
4.1 For testing item 1, it is a must to select two channels one with the highest
frequency and one with the lowest frequency for the measurement.
4.2 All the testing procedures shall follow relevant rules stated in 3GPP TS25.141;
for testing items 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, at least three channels from the low /
medium / high frequency shall be selected for the measurement.
4.3 For testing item 9, one must choose a channel from the medium frequency for
measurement.
5. Descriptions of the Type Approval
This type approval is only for testing items. It does not make guarantees for
equipments overall function nor other inspection items. Besides, in terms of
installation and usage, it is a must for equipments received the type approval
certificate of this technical specification to follow the Telecommunications Act.
