CIVIL & STRUCTURAL DESIGNER:

Job responsibilities include:

(a) Detail design drawings and documents and deliver as per agreed schedule.
(b) Review of design drawings/ doc prepared by TPL consultant/ other agencies and ensure deliver as per agreed
schedule within agreed BOQs
(c) Finalization of project BOQs after award of contract and ensuring the project is completed within the finalized
BOQs.
(d) Value engineering and providing savings to the company through optimization of designs. (Data from previous
projects shall be used for ensuring optimization).
(e) Coordination with survey and field/ site teams for the inputs required for the designs and clarifying the detail
design issues.
(f) Participation in the drawing document review meetings internal/ external and interaction with the review
consultants, customer and pursuing approvals on the design drawings and documents.
(g) Coordination with TPL/ client consultant for progress of engineering and approvals as per schedules to feed site
approved dwgs as per construction sequence.
(h) Providing support to proposals and procurement groups.
(i) Preparation of input for preparation of monthly progress reports.
(j) Preparation of Civil/Structural DBRs.
(k) Software knowledge: STAAD PRO, AUTOCAD, ETAB etc.
(l) Guiding design engineers to perform detail engineering and ensuring delivery of dwgs/ doc as per schedule

Candidate should have experience in the following buildings & Structures:

Reinforced concrete structures.
Power plants, Industrial Structures, Conveyor trestle/ Junction towers/ TP foundations, Pipe and Cable bridge
foundations, Utility buildings like, Control/ MCC buildings, DM plant, clariflocculator / thickener, Water retaining
structures, retaining walls, Tunnels, Pump houses, Induced draft cooling towers, GT/ ST/ UAT transformer
foundations, Overhead water tanks more than 25M high, onshore structures like in-take pump houses from river/ sea
coast, Non-technical buildings like Admin, canteen, service building, etc. Pile foundation design, Raft design, Soil
improvement methods,
Structural steel structures.
Power plants, Industrial Structures Crusher house, Bin structures, Silos, Conveyor galleries/ trestle/ Junction tower/
TP designs, Utility buildings like (pump hoses, DG/ Compressor house, workshop, etc.) Pipe and cable racks,
process buildings, etc.
Geotechnical/ Foundation works.
Preparation of specifications for industrial projects. Review and evaluation of report to suggest suitable foundation
system. Slope stability analysis for reservoir/ash bunds.
Survey Preparation of Specifications for Survey works of Industrial Projects. Review of Survey drawings for the proposed
plant / Cross country piping works.
Codes/ Standards.
Familiar with all relevant IS codes for design of above mentioned structures.
