1. Requirements
1.1.

Supplier capacity management


The supplier commits on its capacity.
The capacity commitment contains :
- Production capacity
- Flexibility
- Critical resources.
The Supplier release his Supplier Capacity Commitment according to Faurecia Purchasing requirements.

1.2.

Orders (as defined in the GCP General Conditions of Purchase)


Faurecia issues two types of orders :
1) Open orders
2) Closed orders

2. FAURECIA Monthly Forecast and Weekly Needs


2.1.

Faurecia Monthly Forecast (FMF)


Every month, Faurecia issues general information for future working days and production volumes
expressed for several months.
This information can't be considered as a Faurecia commitment.

Examples:
At vehicle level, or at Faurecia product level, at family part level or at part level.
The FMF is sent by mail or by fax to the supplier.

Every week, Faurecia issues:

1 week of needs expressed in number of days


11 weeks of forecast needs
TOTAL: 12 weeks of information expressed in delivery dates.
(If more, it must be mentioned in the Logistics Agreement)
This information can't be considered as a Faurecia commitment.
In case of increased consumption and with previous check with the supplier, Faurecia may issue additional
needs to the normal ones :
Supplementary needs : released for normal transportation means
Emergency needs : released for a premium freight at Faurecias expense
Exceptionnally, in case of high decrease, Faurecia issues less manifests.
The needed quantity (pieces) is a multiple of Parts order lot (Round up).
Needs are detailed in the Needs data sheet
Faurecia Needs are sent weekly by a specific date (fixed in the Agreement) allowing the supplier sufficient
time to manage his master production schedule and to program his own supply program, to provide pick
up and delivery at due date and time.

2.3.

Part Order lot


A part order lot is the minimum quantity by delivery.
The order lot is a multiple of Faurecia
s packaging unit (P.U.)
By default, the order lot is the packaging unit (P.U.)
The order lot is defined in the Logistics Part Data Sheet.

2.4.

Delivery Calls transmission - Manifests


Weekly needs are ordered through Delivery Calls named
Manifests
.
Suppliers may have multiple collections per day.
In this case, Manifests are sent 24 hours before collection.
In other cases, Manifests are sent once a week
There may be one or several manifests per collection.
Every Manifest is duplicated by Faurecia in a
Supplier Manifestand a Logistics Partner Manifestwhich
are both sent to the supplier.

Ramp-up and product phase-out


The supplier recognizes that :

Specifics actions must be taken during ramp-up and phase-out in addition to the above. During this period,
some values must be adapted: order lot, lead-time.
The Obsolescence rules are managed at Faurecia Plant level and fixed in the supplier logistics agreement.
