Network Technician (Jan 2003 to Dec 2008)

• Reduced downtime by about 90% on occasions when the network peripherals were down. I was the best
person to coordinate efforts with the different vendors to come in and repair them. Subsequently, took the
initiative to diagnose & execute repairs to peripherals (network copiers, network and desktop printers, desktop
scanners and fax machines) to ensure uptime and efficiently functioning equipment when any of the vendors
were unable to respond in a timely manner.

• Designed and created computer database repository and various soft files to collect data, as I saw this was
needed when I entered the company.

• Developed a well-organized filing system to physically store records as there was none in place.

• Shaped the stock inventory and made certain that it was always stocked with consumables and equipment.
Saved the company time and costs and saw uptime by about 85%. This ensured business continuity whenever
equipment broke down, and replacement parts or new equipment were required.

• Sourced quality goods and services from the local and international markets, and secured competitive prices
via price negotiations.

• Coordinated efforts and eliminated unnecessary time delays by about 75% with the Procurement business

purchase orders were prioritized and fast-tracked to the suppliers.

successfully saved the company more than fifty thousand dollars in telecommunications.
• Skilled at analysis such as scrutinizing the details on telecommunications bills, invoices and quotes.

• Spearheaded health and safety awareness and accident prevention via safety presentations. Verbally
motivated other employees to practice safety thus increasing employee morale and productivity when they
were low. Safety increased by about 95 % and had the most excellent safety record.
