March 2015

Doing our final project in FD 327, we planned and organized on what concept will use in our
design bags before proceeding to the next step. In this project, it was given to us for us to be
exposed in business related in fashion and experience. We were given instructions on how to
start from planning to execution. In meeting the requirements for the project bags, we start
gathering any possible recycled materials to be of use in our designs as the main material in
making bags. With the cooperation of my partner, Stephanie, we managed to find some buyers
of our bag and accomplished the requirements of our selling project. We will mention other
things related in making our bags in another page of our report.

PLANNING AND ORGANIZING

Me and my partner, Stephanie, decided to divide work equally and share the load in making and
selling tote bags. We first decide in what kind of design we should make and what recycled
materials we should use. In this decision, we also agreed to sell the bags individually after
finished making it. We also organized from working in our bags to making our report and thus,
our work was shared to both of us equally.

CONCEPT AND EXECUTION

The concept of our design bags is daily use and/or summer and have three (3) different kinds of
bags. Shoulder bag, sling bag and hand bag. The design of the shoulder bag is a printed fabric
with the use of recycled dresses and cut them and recreate them to cute designs. The sling bag
was made simple yet cute, made of a recycled duchess dress from a previous plate. The hand
bag was made of another type of chiffon fabric from the dressed that was used in fashion show
in Design Award.

BUSINESS PLAN
For us to sell our bags, we decided to do direct selling; so that we can have a better chance of
getting our tote bags to be sold. We approach different types of customers, as an experiment to
know the percentage of getting our bags to be sold. We tried to approach strangers if they want
to buy one of our bags but, it has a lower persuasion. Also, we approached our friends in buying
our bags, having a 50 50 percent chance of selling our bags. But selling to a relative has a
bigger chance in selling our bags and most of our buyers are relatives, knowing that it is part of
our final project.

RESULTS OF OPERATIONS
From selling our bags, we sold 7 out of 8 bags. Here is the list of our buyers with their contact
