Sharing the Day # 5 CAMP UPDATE written

Whoo! Finally! We tackled the last day of the game days and
ended it with a bang of toothpick and laway [in bubble gum]!
The last four houses hurrahed their way to higher points with
their fiercest cheering performances, and the Survivor games
immediately commenced. Three stations greeted us - with the
first station blindfolding one male player from each house and
a female player serving as the megaphone to guide him
through the maze of mousetraps and fly traps and gelatin.
All this yelling and zombie walking went on up until he reached
their respective flag color. Station two just brought us back to
our childhood game of pick up sticks, but with a little twist, and
station three asked us to sit back, relax, chew some gum as
we figure out how to build a tower with them together with a
bunch of toothpick we were given. The pressure heightened as
the games were carried out since today was the last chance
for all houses to climb higher in the ranking. It ended with
sticky hands and hyper campers - half probably jumping
straight into the pool for one last dip, and others going off to
freshen up
for the final

session
tonight.

TRUTH: Sacrificing and Meeting needs are abundance expressions of LOVE.

Key Passages: Acts 4:32-35
and the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul and not one of
them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common
property to them and with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the
resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all. For there was
not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell
them and bring the proceeds of the sales and lay them at the apostles feet, and they
would be distributed to each as any had need.
When it comes to possessions, the first church knew how to help one
another, to love one another.

Making room in our budgets to help people Thats what the first church was doing.

REMEMBER: ONCE WE HAVE LOOSENED OUR GRIPS and TIGHTENED OUR
BELTS then we MAY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

Once the church ditched the mine, mine mentality, no one had ever had need. Needs
were always met. So completely met that this passage says: and with great power
the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant
grace was upon them all. For there was not a needy person among them.

What was the result of that GENEROSITY:

TESTIMONY of the RESURRECTION of the LORD JESUS. People knew the truth of
Jesus because the apostles and the 1st Century church were busy giving their money
and possessions TO ONE ANOTHER. It wasn't as Service Project. It wasn't a Homeless Shelter. It wasn't a Missions Program. It was ONE ANOTHER. The
testimony was present because they were LOVING ONE ANOTHER.
