OLIVER TWIST
The story tells about an orphan child, Oliver Twist, who tries to live better.
At first he cant live nicely because a band of thieves want him to be one of
them. But he doesnt want to live in that way so he gets away from there,
and he finds an old man who takes care of him. His life becomes very happy,
but after that he has some more trouble with the thieves again. Finally, he
manages to have a very successful life with the old man. At the end Oliver
discovers that the old man is a member of his family.
In my opinion the book is very interesting. It tells us about the differences
the society had in those ages. The book explains how insignificant the life
of an orphan child was because he could be sold as if he was a product. It
seems a little sad that the man in the workhouse wanted to sell him, then
his second owner treated him very badly too, and finally, the thieves
thought that Oliver belonged to them.
The aspect that I like the most from the book is that Oliver never gets sad
and he is always trying to find a better way to live despite of the way he is
being treated.
I also think that the book was very short and easy to read. Although it has
strange words for me, I have understood perfectly what the story wanted
to teach us.
The novel Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens, is a criticism of the cruelty
that children and poor people suffered in the 19th century society.
In the Nineteenth Century, the orphan Oliver Twist is sent to a workhouse,
where the children are barely fed and mistreated. He moves to the house
of an undertaker, but after an unfair severe spank, he starts a seven day
OLIVER TWIST
This book tells the story of Oliver Twist. It is based on the novel by
Charles Dickens, a classic in English literature.
Oliver Twist is a poor boy who was born in a workhouse. When he was
nine, he was sold to a man as an assistant at funerals. He gave him the
dog's leftovers so one day Oliver decided not to stay there any longer.
He walked for days to London. There, he made new friends, several
thieves who betrayed him. By chance, he met his dead mother's uncle,
who took him in, gave him education and love. One day he was going
for a walk when his old friends kidnapped him, but finally, after that some
of his friends died, he lived happily with his uncle.
It is a very interesting book. It keeps you excited all the time and you
never get bored. It is a very sad story, which reflects the cruelties of the
world of poor children, such as child labour. Despite of being very cruel
stories I realize that this was the way of thinking at that time, and a lot of
bad actions were supported by the crowd.
I recommend this book and this version in English with fantastic
illustrations. Although Oliver suffered a lot of hardships he had a happy
ending.

OLIVER TWIST
I liked the book because it is a tale that shows how
people could live in Victorian England. I think that in the
first part of the book, you can see that Oliver was alone
since he was born, because his mum died and he had to
be at an orphanage. The man who was in charge of
orphans did not take care of them at all. Oliver was sold
to another man for the incredible price of 3 pounds.
I hate slavery and I actually think that nowadays it is
still happening. The book shows us not only the middle
age society but also ours, too. I know it can sound weird
but it is true that children are sold to mafias also in
Spain, although I think it is a developed country.
Finally, the book has a happy end when his uncle helps
him. It is the best part of the book because he realizes
that it is possible to have a better life.

THIS BOOK TELLS US A STORY ABOUT A LITTLE CHILD
CALLED OLIVER TWIST, WHO GREW UP IN A
WORKHOUSE.

THEY DESERVED.
TO SUM UP, I REALLY LIKED THE BOOK BUT AT FIRST IT
WAS A BIT BORING AND TOO SLOW. IT SHOWED ME A
LOT ABOUT LIFE AND THE PEOPLE I SHOULD LISTEN TO
AND GO OUT WITH BECAUSE FRIENDS ARE MORE
IMPORTANT THAN WE THINK. ALSO, IT GIVES US A
DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW OF POOR PEOPLE AND THE
ONES WHO DONT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE
WHAT THEY WANT.

Charles Dickens
This book is very well written by Charles Dickens, a very famous
writer who published well known books such as; " A Christmas Carol"
or "David Coperfield".
It looks like a book for young people to read because it is quite funny
and interesting. The writer has been able to tell us nicely and
accurately a story about a poor orphan boy who eventually reaches
his dream. The main part of the story focusses on the experiences he
suffered to achieve that goal and how he went through all kinds of
troubles.
The story starts with a woman, Agnes, giving birth to a little boy,
called Oliver, in a workhouse. Unfortunately, she dies right then,
leaving the little Oliver orphan. He grew up in the place where he was
born, under miserable conditions and usually starving. One day he
made Mr Bumble angry, the workhouse owner and then Oliver was
sold to a spidery man whose job was to organize burials. As he didn't
like that environment, he decided to run away to London, where he
thought he would have more chances to survive and to live more
worthily. But to his surprise, a group of thieves, led by Bill and his
girlfriend Nacy, duped and forced him to steal from innocent people.
That's when he met Mr Brownlow, her mother uncle, although neither
of them were aware of their family links back then. Without knowing
him, he took Oliver into his house, gave him shelter, clothes and food,
and he even taught him how to play the piano. Oliver was living a
dream, but then, the evil Bill kidnapped Oliver and forced him to steal
again. Oliver as forced into a house, but he made some noise
intencionally to warn the owners, that's when he got hurt and Bill
abandoned him right in the middle of nowhere. When Nancy realized,
she quickly ran up the street looking for him, when she found Oliver,
she took him where he belonged, with Mr Brownlow, but not before
she received a shut from Bill when she was trying to stop Bill from
hurting the boy again. That's when Bill started to run away and
accidentally died because of a badly placed rope when he was trying
to tie himself to jump from a roof to another one with the intention to
scape.
OLIVER TWIST
THIS NOVEL HAS TO DO WITH A LITTLE BOY CALLED
OLIVER WHO LIVED IN A WORKHOUSE.HE SPENT HIS
TIME THERE BECAUSE HE DIDNT HAVE A PLACE TO
SLEEP OR EAT. IT WAS HARD BUT THERE THEY HELPED
HIM A LOT.
AS TIME PASSED AND HE BECAME OLDER OLIVER MET
NEW PEOPLE WHO DID NOT RESPECT THE LAW AND HE
GOT INTO TROUBLE. AT THE END EVERYBODY HAD
THEIR OWN AWARD, ACCORDING TO THEIR
BEHAVIOUR.
TO SUM UP, I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THE BOOK, THE
FIRST CHAPTERS WERENT VERY FUNNY , THOUGH.
THEY SHOW US DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF LIFE,THAT IS
GOOD BECAUSE NOT ALL PEOPLE HAVE THE
POSSIBILITY TO ACHIEVE WHAT THEY WANT, ONLY THE
LUCKIEST ONES.
HOWEVER, AFTER READING THE BOOK WE
UNDERSTAND SOME POOR PEOPLES BEHAVIOUR.

OLIVER TWIST
I think this story is very sad because it shows us how bad the situation was
for a lot of people living in England at that time. The book made me think
about similar situations in the world, ones which are happening now because
there are a lot of horrible people who do not take into account children's
life.
This story was interesting because the author gives us an interesting point
of view about the society in those days. We realize reading the book that
everything that happens around us can affect several people and ourselves,
that is the reason why each step in our life and each attitude we have is
very important. We must set well in what we do and how we do the things
The story of Oliver Twist is truly sad because he had a very bad and
unhappy childhood but finally Oliver is legally adopted by Mr. Brownlow, and
he lived really happy forever.

It is a book about a boy who was an orphan when his
mother gave birth so he grew up in an orphanage. When
he was seven years old, he was sold. However, as the
owner didn't treat him properly, he escaped.
He walked several miles to reach the city of London,
where he was held by a group of robbers who were led by
Fagin. They forced him to rob a man, Mr Brownlow, who
decided to give Oliver a second opportunity and provide
him shelter and education.
For a long time he went to school and lived happily ,but
one day he was buying a book, when the group of thieves
found him and he was forced to steal again, but the
robbery went wrong and he was taken to a field with a
shot in his arm. After that he was rescued by Nancy who
took him to Mr Brownlow's but Sikes, one of the thieves
of the group, was waiting for them and killed Nancy. The
man accidentaly died and finally Oliver managed to live
peacefully with Mr Brownlow, who discovered that
Oliver's mother was his niece.
