E-Sermon
LIVING IN THE OVERFLOW!
Philippians 1:12 But I would ye should
understand, brethren, that the things which
happened unto me have fallen out rather
unto the furtherance of the gospel;
God has designed us to live in the overflow!
For too long have we allowed the pressures
of life to cause His river to be a mere
trickle.
Jesus said to the Samaritan woman at the
well; But whosoever drinketh of the water
that I shall give him shall never thirst; but
the water that I shall give him shall be in
him a well of water springing up into
everlasting life. (Jn 4:14)
There are too may thirsty believers running
around drinking from the wrong source. In
the book of Jeremiah (2:13) the problem is
explained.
For my people have committed two evils;
they have forsaken me the fountain of living
waters, and hewed them out cisterns,
broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
The one who provides you with living water
is no longer a priority, perhaps not even
relevant. Also, His people have built their
own cisterns or reservoirs of religion and
belief system which never lasts, and has to
be rebuilt because it is man-made.
It is time to believe that we have a well
inside of us! It is a well that never runs dry!
This flow from God is not seasonal! It is
constant!
It was prophesied in Isaiah; Remember ye
not the former things, neither consider the
things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing;
now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know
it? I will even make a way in the
wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
There is a beautiful illustration in Judges
That I want to share with you. It is
mentioned in the midst of a battle against
the Canaanites.

Calebs daughter Achsar wins the hand

of Othniel because he is the one who
wins the challenge given by Caleb that
he who overcomes a particular city will
have her as wife.
Achsar asks Othniel to go ask her father
for a field. Probably as a wedding gift.
Not satisfied, she goes to her father and
stands before him with another request.
Judges 1:15 - And she said unto him,
Give me a blessing: for thou hast given
me a south land; give me also springs
of water. And Caleb gave her the upper
springs and the nether springs.
A field without running water has little
value. Just as a believer functioning
without His anointing or presence.
It is time you started to live in the
overflow of what God has placed within
you. It is a well that never runs dry.
Achsar is bold and confident and is
blessed with two springs. This talks of a
double blessing. God always gives you
more than enough!
Dont drink from the wrong source.
Stop running around drinking from one
church to another, one preacher to
another. Nothing wrong with being
blessed by men of God, but they are
not your source. You are forsaking the
one who is the giver of living water and
drinking from the wrong well.
Whatever your battle, you can come to
your heavenly Father and ask Him for
what you need and He will bless you
with a spring of living water so that you
will never thirst again.
God Bless!
