thinking that 'organic' must mean that
curves are of the essence. 'Nature abhors
a straight line' it's said. But the term
'organic' applied to architecture has a
deeper implication. Fuller's domes are
made up of short straight members,
connected and related to each other in an
'organic' way. This can be seen in the
dramatic construction of the Eden Project,
in Cornwall, by Nicholas Grimshaw.
