EPLAN Electric P8
Export of labeling of an EPLAN Electric P8 Project to M-Print PRO.
Requirements
It is required to have both M-Print PRO and EPLAN installed
First you have to create a folder named eplan_p8 in the M-Print Pro directory and copy
the following seven files into it:
Menu_Call_MPrintProExportLabel.cs
MPrintP8.exe
WI-Cable.xml
WI-CableCore.xml
WI-Equipment.xml
WI-SPS.xml
WI-Terminal.xml
Presettings
You have to set a few thing in EPLAN Electric P8 before you can export to M-Print.

Start EPLAN Electric P8.

Choose menu service program - analysis and then marking.

A window opens: Output marking.

Click on the button with the three dots (marked in red in the picture).

Another window opens: marking settings.

Click on import (marked in red in the picture).

A window opens: Choose import file.

Please choose the first XML file from C:\Program

files\weidmueller\mprintpor\eplan_p8 and confirm with open

The import window closes and all information from the XML file is imported.

Redo this to import all XML files which are found in the folder.

Click ok after all XML files have been imported.

The window marking settings closes.

Click ok again.

The window output marking closes.

Choose menu service program - scipts and then load.

A window opens: Choose script file.

Please choose the file Menu_Call_MPrintProExportLabel.cs from the folder

eplan_p8 and confirm with open.

The window Choose script file closes. The menu service program has a new menu
item Export Weidmller M-Print Pro.
Export to M-Print PRO
To export marking information from a EPLAN Electric P8 project to M-Print PRO please
do the follwoing

Choose the menu service program - Export Weidmller M-Print Pro.

A window opens: Export zu M-Print PRO .

Choose the labeling information you want to export. In our example we only choose
terminal marking.

Confirm your choice with Export.

A window opens: Save as.

Choose a folder where you want to save the data. Confirm with save.

The window save as closes. M-Print PRO will be started automatically and the choosen
labeling information will be imported in M-Print PRO.

In case you get the message The needed marking type isnt available click OK.

The window product catalogue opens.

Please choose the marker type you need and confirm with choose product

The window product catalogue closes. You will now see a preview of the marking on
your chosen marker.

Customizing the export settings

To customize the export settings of an EPLAN Electric P8 project to M-Print PRO please
do the following

Open the reference file MPrintP8.csv from the folder eplan_p8 in the M-Print PRO
installation directory with excel of an editor (e.g. notepad).

The file MPrintP8.csv looks like the following:

Intent of the standards:

First you can assign article numbers of markers to the standard1-4.

Afterwards you can assign font, font size, format (bold, italic) and the font angle.
You have to write: n no

Furthermore you can assign a format for a specific marker types.
Example: We would like to assign the marker DEK 5/5 MC-10 Neutral RT (Article number
1906801686) to all Weidmller WDU 2.5 terminals. The font should be Arial at size 8,
the format should be italic and upside down.
The accordingly line is:
1020000000;1609801686;Arial;8;n;1;n;180
Terminal part number; marker part number; font; font size; bold (1/n); italic (1/n);
underlined(1/n);marking angle (0/90/180/270)

Attention:
The article number used in the file needs to be assigned in Eplan P8 with the
same name or article number, otherwise it cant be found.

The configuration file needs to be saved as csv!

If you dont assign attributes so the entry looks like 1020000000;1609801686

M-Pinrt PRO uses his standard font, font size etc.

The file MPrintP8.csv which is installed with the interface is only an example file
which needs to be customized.
