Connect B variable logic at pin no.1.
Connect A variable logic at pin no.2 or 4.
Connect C variable logic at pin no.5.
Take output from pin no.8 and verify truth table.

Logical diagram of Binary to Gray code converter:

Procedure:
1. The circuit connections are made as shown in fig.
2. Pin (14) is connected to +Vcc and Pin (7) to ground.
3. In the case of binary to gray conversion, the inputs B3, B2 B1and B0are
given at respective pins and outputs G3, G2, G1, G0 are taken for all the
16 combinations of the input.
4. Verify the Truth table.

Procedure:1. Connect the circuit as shown in fig. using connecting wires.


2. Pin (16) is connected to +Vcc & Pin (8) and Pin (3, 4, 5) connected to
ground.
3. Connect a to g output of IC 7447 to 7- segment display unit through a current limiting
resistor, 330/470 .

4. The corresponding number of BCD number will be displayed


5. Switch ON the power supply.
6. Apply +Vcc to pin no 3 / 8 (common anode)of seven segment display
(Internally pin 3 & 8 short)
7. Apply the corresponding (D, C, B, A) BCD inputs and verify the truth table.

Theory:Consider the arithmetic addition of two decimal digits in BCD, together with an input carry
from a previous stage. Since each input digit does not exceed 9, the output sum cannot be
greater than 19, the 1 in the sum being an input carry. The output of two decimal digits
must be represented in BCD and should appear in the form listed in the columns.
ABCD adder that adds 2 BCD digits and produce a sum digit in BCD. The 2
decimal digits, together with the input carry, are first added in the top 4 bit adder to
produce the binary sum

2. Pin (5) is connected to +Vcc also Pin (12) and Pin (13) Cin connected to ground.
3. In the case of 4-bit BCD adder, the inputs A3, A2,A1,A0 and B3, B2, B1, B0 are
given at respective pins and outputs S3, S2, S1, S0 and Tens (carry) are taken
form respective pins i.e.(Pin No.6 of 7410).
4. Switch ON the power supply.
5. Apply the corresponding inputs and verify the truth table.

Procedure:

Connection for IC 74151 MUX


The circuit connections are made as shown in fig.

Collect output from pin (5: Y) and pin (6: W).
Apply Select I/Ps at (C, B, A,) and Verify Functional table of MUX (74151).
