Newsofhisinfamousscreenplayshehadbeenlisteningtoforthelastfiveyearsatleast
anditschancesofsoonseeingthelightofday,letalonethelightofacinemascreen,were
aboutasgoodasherroaringoffintheaccordwiththepackedsuitcasethathadbeen
lyinginwaitinthetrunkformostofadecade.
Ifaestheticsofpopculturecinemawereappliedtotheeverydaylifetherealitywould've

Youhavenoideahowdifficultitisformetodo,butImquittingthisbookmidway.Itgoes
againsteveryfiberofmybeing.ButImtryingtoembracetheadviceofacoworker
stickingwithabookthatisnotforyouwastestimeinwhichyoucouldbereadingthenext
bookyoulllove.
StephenWrightisawordsmithtobesure.Somethinginhispreciseandthoughtful

Thebookstartswithanuppermiddleclasssuburbancoupleenjoyingabarbecuewith

ThewritingwasgoodtheproductplacementalittletediousasitwaswithAmerican

morelikeeightseparatestories,withlittleifanycarryoverfromonechaptertothenext.
