Crane Inspection Engineer

Position Description:

We have an immediate requirement for a Crane Inspection
Engineer to join the Inspection Department based at our
headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The successful
candidate will be required to act as a technical consultant
and mentor, and train young Saudi Aramco crane inspectors.
The Inspection Department is charged with the corporate
responsibility for Inspection of Elevating and lifting
equipment. The incumbent will be assigned to the Operations
Inspection Division, which takes care of Elevating and Lifting
equipment inspection services company wide quality
assurance by the Company and Contractors.
Duties And Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to develop, update,
and engineering standards and procedures to enhance
existing work processes. Additional responsibilities will
include the following:
Evaluate requests for equipment inspection
deviation/revision.
Conduct or lead periodic quality assessment.
Coordinate with different operating facilities for scheduling
quality assessments.
Provide inspection engineering consultation to plant
engineers.

Participate and perform engineering studies and investigate


related problems to the inspection of elevating and lifting
equipment on mega projects.
Facilitate or participate in RBI studies.
Develop young inspection engineers
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate must have the following
experience, competencies and skillsets:
A B.S. in mechanical engineering from an accredited
university with professional certificates (e.g LEEA, API etc.)
Ten (10) years of experience working in the oil industry or
similar process industry.
Fully conversant with applicable industry standards,
specifications (e.g., ASME, API, etc.), a thorough knowledge of
engineering practices.
Certification/knowledge and understanding of ISO-9001.
Knowledge of offshore environment operations, inspection,
and maintenance.
Excellent command of oral and written English including
excellent presentation skills.
Performs works as described and make clear and concise
verbal and written reports and keep up with technical
advancements.
Knowledge and understanding of nondestructive testing
(NDT).
Must be willing to work at high elevations and confined
spaces.

Must be willing to work in remote offshore and/or desert area


locations.
Must be computer literate with competence in Microsoft
Office products (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
